"Defense Minister Dragan Šunatovac says that he expected no pressure from U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton "

- why would he, he is doing his upmost to implement all that is demanded!

I was going to say basically the same thing. The pressure was put on years ago, Clinton's subordinates are very obedient. The subordinates create just enough controversy to fool many Serbs into thinking they are not obedient.

"Regarding Kosovo, Clinton will make it clear to the Serbs: "The independence of Kosovo is a done deal". The rest is not important.
(Liri, Canada, 28 September 2010 13:49)"

Then her words will fall on deaf ears. I'm more interested in hearing what she has to offer, if anything. I'm not hopeful, but interested nonetheless.

I wouldn't put too much stock in the visit, and I certainly wouldn't expect any significant development in policy. Hillary has proven to be just as much of a mediocre Secretary of State as Condi. Most, if not all, of the important international issues to the US since her taking office have remained in diplomatic deadlock.

"Ivan Vejvoda, head of the Balkan Democracy Fund, said the announced visit by Clinton was important in creating an atmosphere ahead of negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina."

And Pristina is busy creating a special "atmosphere", too, by destroying Telecom infrastructure.

Clinton is not visiting Belgrade without any reason. If any member of the Serbian government or the general population believe otherwise, they have another thing coming to them. Welcome to the real world, and only then will Serbia be needing friends. Back to Russia/China for some brotherly love.
