Since when did she become relevant?
(Patrik, 27 September 2010 20:18)
===================

Since she and Thaci became "special friends".
You don't give out your personal mobile phone number to just anyone.
She would do anything for her speical friend.

What is the "Gentiles" side the fororts? What is Jewish side? Budapest?
(Joe, 28 September 2010 18:39)

LOL, it's not geographic. Often more "conservative" suburbs are better.

Joe, if you are curious - I do feel somewhat uneasy in general mostly due Jobbik. I can talk easy because I am outsider (known circumstances). Older generation (my aunt and her husband, for instance) does feel threatened to a degree that while he is holocaust surviver they did not apply for the German reparation help out of fear, the names in the database will somehow leak out.

This is an example, I told them that IMO it's perfectly safe. But they say, I can talk easy because "if anything goes wrong - you still have an American passport".

we live near Budapest, just in the middle of "JewsGentiles" frontline"
Ataman

What kind of "frontline"? I ask it naivly because I never lived on that frontline and I don't now about it. What is the "Gentiles" side the fororts? What is Jewish side? Budapest? And about antisemitism in Hungary according to szemi there is none. I will be in Hungary via Vienna in 2 days for 3 weeks. Most likely we will just stay close to the Austrian border all the time to take some rest and see how people are doing.

1) I did not suffer under Soviet Union in person, some of my ancestors did - but not me.

2) It's you who have personal problems with Serbs or Russians - cure them on your own. In most cases I don't know what to do with your comments: laugh at them or cry. I helped you in certain practical questions unrelated to your views - that's one thing. You are entitled to have any view as you like, but I strongly feel your hatred of Serbs and Russians is at pathologic level.

and shut up about "the jews". antisemitism by any other name...

1) "shut up" is a taboo in conversation, much like saying "sh*pt*r" to an Albanian. Who says that loses the debate by default.

2) I am allowed to be anti-Semitic, anti-American, anti-Hungarian and anti-Russian at will, any time I like - and I DO EXERCISE my right once in a while. I am in unique position. Quod licet Iovi, non licet bovi. Also think Cyrano's nose. Only Cyrano was allowed the critics about his nose.

But all you are allowed from this long list is to be anti-Semitic and anti-American.

3) All I want is to be left in peace regarding my background. I don't want to be different. Unfortunately the circumstances in countries like Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Hungary are such, locals traditionally do want to see "us" different. Why - it's an other question, subject of an other essay and here EVERYONE, us included(!!) has to be straight. Problems shouldn't be kept under the rug and there is nothing single-sided. Serbia is better from that point of view. But your comments fueled by blind hatred towards Russians, Serbs, Poles do make things much worse for us because they alienate even the most tolerant ones (Serbs). Remember: you live in the safety of far-away San Francisco, we live near Budapest, just in the middle of "JewsGentiles" frontline. That's a big difference and the harm you cause to other Jews is pretty big. Same with M. Albright, just the proportions are much higher because she acted and she acted against the people who saved her family.

4) After re-reading what you wrote and how much sense it had, I stay by my words: you don't re-read what you write carefully and just shoot in blind. OK, than you will make total misses more often. But unfortunately your misses do fire back at us - it's not an innocent exercise.

Madeleine Albright, out of office, out of power, still like to meddle in Serbs affairs.During her tenure as secretary of the state with her boss "lover boy" Bill Clinton extended Hitler/Mussolini policy of
denying Serbs to have a state on their indigenous territory. You callous, illegal bombing of Serbia 1999 did not do the job neither did Hitler bombing of Serbia 1941.Rest assure your two entities you created and socially engineered Muslim dominated Bosnia&Herzegovina and terrorist state of Kosovo will never become a reality.

"According to the article, some sensitive issues should also be discussed, like the Serbs' right to a self-government, especially in the north of Kosovo, and protection of historical monuments and Christian Orthodox churches."

-- All certainly relevant topics. The WSJ article itself, while full of the usual pre-fabricated State Department drivel is essentially honest in its assessment of the upcoming talks and the need for both sides, yes even Pristina, to make some tough decisions.

Another equally important article is Ian Bancroft's editorial in The Guardian: what each side hopes the talks will structure and what we can probably expect from a negotiated outcome:

Just like you. Congratulations! You should be proud of her.
(Joe, 27 September 2010 21:15)

1) Yea... are you proud of Ferenc Szálasi? I guess, not. Good example of two (very) rotten apples. F.Sz. being a worse case of course.

2) I have some doubts about "Jewry" being a nation. It's probably a border-case. I really can't say much "pro" or "contra". As for myself - I never was born or raised as a Jew, but I am aware of my ancestors and value them. Besides, my family name is extremely rare and it's one of few legally protected ones in Hungary - so no one can take it at will. As I told to Szemi, it's closer "Nakhimov" or "Kossuth" quality than to "Goldberg" - and with a good reason ;-)
