Its not 1999 anymore. She is coming from a weak regime about to lose its majorities in Congress three weeks after her visit but the buffoon Tadic will undoubtedly bow and scrape. The US will not push Russia out of anywhere; the bankrupt US cannot even defend its own borders anymore. Don't be afraid of a Clinton anymore!

Simic, please do not include the US in the EU, not even figuratively. We value our sovereignty more that that.

Maybe you do but the US doesn't and they are the ones in charge after all.
European countries have handed their sovereignty over to the US a long time ago. You haven't heard?

Simić ...

“Figuratively speaking, the U.S. is the most powerful of all 27 EU member states. ... " he pointed out.

Papajohn asks:
Why is Klintonka coming to Belgrade. I know the people dislike her, and her husband, in Serbia, so why is she coming?

Simpatiku replies:
Because Tadic has officially invited her. Simple as that.

This is a very bad idea - I would like to see the ds junta try to clear the streets of protestors this time. I recommend she never leave the airport or we will see a motorcade containing us officials can assailed with garbage for first time since the early 1960s. Are they going to try to have journalists remove their shoes at press conferences? Even the analysis in this article is cracked: decades of "misunderstanding" caused by HATO bombs? What kind of stupid statement is that? What is there to misunderstand about bombs? Also, the us in NOT a member of the eu - I learned that standing in a long line of americans, Pakistanis and Indians at passport control at heathrow while eu citizens sailed through the multiple eu booths. The only reason she would interrupt her delicate Israeli-Palestinian negotiations is to desparately try to force the us into the kosovo negotiations because the us government is afraid of being cut out of it and made to look impotent. She is afraid that the eu will make a separate settlement with Serbia and destroy the 20 year old us anti-Serb balkan policy.

The reason for her comming to Beograd is obviously to further humiliate and anger the serbs. More than that, to "normalize" their onslaught and dismemberment of a sovereign country.

It is a spit in the face that only her puppet Tadic enjoys...

Before Mr. Simić mentioned it, I never realised that Serbia's back was actually involved with any winds but if the US want to fill that "gap" then fair enough...
(Felix, 27 September 2010 14:56)

That sounds like a bathroom issue for me. I know how this kind of "American wind" is being called in Hungarian or Russian - you tell me the name in Romanian. Or don't... it will be censored. :-P

As far as I am concerned she can stay home. She should bring along Bill and drop him

Yes, I would cut your sentence precisely at that point. No parachute!

USB- the tomatoes should be rotten by now. Perfect!
(Zeka, 27 September 2010 15:05)

The selection here is pretty thin even on that, sorry.
But in lieu of tomatoes I have some stinky old shoes. That would be perfect, filled with not-so-fresh eggs to make a better smell effect.

Why is Klintonka coming to Belgrade. I know the people dislike her, and her husband, in Serbia, so why is she coming? Is this to be a sign of friendship between Serbia and the US? Until she, or another high-ranking American official apologizes for the death and destruction that their nation is responsible for, especially the Klintonci, you are not welcomed in Serbia, Hillary. Just like Biden's visit last year, I will find her presence on Serbian soil an insult to the hallowed ground of innocent Serbian civilians. I would recommend you go directly to Pristina, madam Secretary, they will always greet you there with open arms, and palms.

To say the least! Even with the visa regime. At the moment you are in E.U. - forget about visa-free travel to Russia. Visa-free travel to America or Canada won't be granted automatically... but in lieu of that or Russia you can travel visa-free to... to... not sure, what positive it would bring. To, say, Barbados, that is.

My next vacation is Barbados.

As far as I am concerned she can stay home. She should bring along Bill and drop him off at Belgrade prison. There is a modest room waiting for him that can be used for many years so he will have time to do some soul-searching there alone as an old and sick men who can look back at his pathetic life and he will see no worthy accomplishment at all.

Dragan

She is just coming to try to give Serbs orders, and lecture us. This woman is not a friend of Serbs, quite the opposite, and she should be declared 'personna non grata' and not allowed to set foot on Serbian soil.

Former Serbian Ambassador in Washington Ivan Vujačić thinks that Clinton's visit is good news because it “shows America's readiness to engage together with the EU in the sense of further European integrations of the region“.

One would hope that she (clinton) would also have the strength of character to bring some humility to Belgrade in the form of some kind of recognition about the circumstances in which the US (clinton's husband) felt it acceptable to bomb Belgrade with no mandate from the required institutions of the time. I say this not to drag open old wounds but to see some balance when it comes to how the US perceives the history that it was involved in shaping.
