"He believes that it should not be a problem to set the issue of the missing and kidnapped as the first topic, given that this is a humanitarian issue which seems to be important for both parties"

Wow. Ivanovic for president.

Koso - General Assembly resolutions cannot replace Security Council resolutions. Unless there is a sunset clause on a Security Council resolution (which there isn't on 1244), it remains in place until the Security Council decides otherwise.

Just so you know, General Assembly resolutions are non-binding. Security Council resolutions are considered to be legally binding and have the force of international law.

It is really about time that this rubbish that the resolution has replaced 1244 should stop. It has not, and it cannot.

"I think it's hilarious how oliver thinks EULEX (EU mission in Kosovo comprised of 22 EU countries that recognized) will carry out res 1244 which was replaced few weeks ago."

I think it's hilarious that some people think UN1244 was "replaced", i.e. is not valid any more

I find it interesting how the EU just got a mandate from the UN without any debates or resolutions, just a few phone calls.

You really think EULEX is out here to do your dirty work you phantom minister?
