Thank you, PRN. they have to personally attack us, since their ideas are so vacuous, amoral and indefensible. don't worry about the (typically counter-intuitive) spelling in english. our focus is to get past their lies; it's not a friggin spelling test.

from my POV, there's only one question -- how to drag mladic fr serbia to the hague. i see only 2 possibilities. as i have pointed out before.

the first involves an intrnl anti war-criminal police force -- something like the israelis used to grab that "nice" eichmann, c. 1960.

that was one nasty # who was happily living out his evil life to its "natural" conclusion. until israeli agents grabbed him, and that govt eventually put him on trial. and his eventual execution. mladic (as well as karadzic and his ilk) surely deserves the exact same, but since the world is supposedly more civilized now, he'll just get life w/out parole.

it isn't a perfect solution, but it might be our only chance, and i'd hop on it in a quick second.

the only other possibility is a tough, carrot/stick approach. so far the blgd regime has won only assorted (undeserved) carrots, with only an occasional rebuke or pressure (like at the unga recently). unless there's pressure, TOUgh pressure, you get absolutely nowhere with them. never did ONE of their fugitives reach the hague without heavy outside pressure of one sort or another. obviously that was the case with slobo, but also for the rest of those "nice" people as well.

unfortunately w/mladic that pressure has been utterly absent, esp. since brammertz has taken over. he is spineless, totally out of his league, and without adequate backing. he hasn't a clue with whom he is dealing. they love him, they play with him like a toy, huff and puff when he raises his eyebrows, then everyone has a good laugh. except us, except the many thousands of survivors...

there has to be the threat of "sanctions," there has to be an immediate halt to ALL intl links for the blgd regime. until mladic is safely in (the) hague.

under those circumstances, i give it two weeks. two and a half at the most.

so let's stop chitty chatting and get moving. now.

thanks! chvala mnoga! for all of my frnds in bosnia, for all of the survivors of the terror now scattered throughout the world.

> What am I missing????

Quite a lot.

In his reports to the UN Security Council and in his public statements for the last several years, the UN war crimes tribunal's prosecutor has repeatedly that his office is certain that Ratko Mladic is alive, and that the ICTY has no reason to believe that Mladic is located anywhere else except in Serbia.

That Mladic is alive and in Serbia is also the operating assumption of the Serbian government. The current government would surely not go to the trouble and expense of staging much publicized police searches for Mladic if it had convincing evidence to prove that Mladic is no longer in Serbia.

This is funny. After Karadzic working as a pscyatrist in the middle of Belgrade, we wil see that Mladic is probably in Belgrade drinking whiskey in the night clubs.
The gonverment of Serbia knows very well where Mladic is,but they are using his capture to get something in return from EU and USA.

Gladko, everyone knows that the snake Thaci is a terrorist KLAer, and a murderer of Kosovo minorities, namely Serbs, yet the west propped him up as an Albanian political leader. How do you explain that? Why is he a hero to Albanians when he is responsible for the torture and death of so many people, including his own Albanian brothers and sisters that did not carry his torch.
(karlsdad, 21 September 2010 15:27)

Who is everyone and since when have you been Hague's chief prosecutor? Or as usual you're just making stuff up. This is about Serbia's unwillingness to arrest war criminals. Stay on topic.

Why does everybody always forget Goran Hadzic? What are the chances of Croatia voting for Serbia to enter the EU if he's still at large?

Croatia is the mouse that roared. Gee you really give Croatia a lot of credit that does not exist. Croatia will do as they are TOLD and nothing less – remember when you depend on others to sustain you then you have little to no say in may things.

"I do not believe this. For years, the gov. of Serbia could have easily arrested Mladic, and they did not. For what reasons?"
(Gladko, 21 September 2010 13:26)

It was the old government under Kostunica which didn't have the will (or guts, or whatever) to arrest these war criminals.

Prn, I beg of you, please get a dictionary or use spell check. I can't take it any longer. When it comes to your English, your posts are like fingernails on a chalkboard. Anyway, how do you know to what degree Serbian authorities are trying to find Mladic? Does Tadic consult with you? Please remember that Mladic may be in Bosnia, this is not territory under Belgrade's jurisdiction. Maybe the Hague should go and politely ask Dodik for some help in locating Mladic. My opinion is that Mladic is long gone out of the Balkans. He may be somewhere in So. America, relaxing with other suspected Croatian, Albanian, and Serbian war criminals.

As far as Serbs are concerned, we still believe that these "good" men are looking for him and still don't agree.
