Ahmet - in fact, the question of the euro is very complicated. Kosovo and Montenegro have decided to use the euro ('unilaterally euroised'), but they are not eurozone members. They have no say in currency policy. They just use it. As a result, there are very real questions about how they could join EU using the euro without formally meeting the specific requirements, which they certainly don't at the moment. Other states have to meet the criteria first. This is something that needs to be resolved at some point in the future. In any case, to state that Kosovo is ahead in terms of integration, or could be ahead, because it uses the euro already is incorrect. Things simply don't work like that

Jim,
im not suggesting kosovo is ahead by any means, other than once serbia does adopt the euro, life for the citizen would have changed some for the better and others not so

i agree there will be talks of mutual interest but as far as Serbia is concerned they need to resolve the border with kosovo and any disputes serbia has with kosovo or vise versa and both kosovo and serbia will be brought into the EU together as 2 separate countries, its unlikely that both will enter separately, the EU wont tolerate another Cyprus. kosovo already has an advantage of using the euro. i don't know how the Serbian government and people interpret the passed UN resolution thinking that status will be on the negotiating table. in terms of investments in kosovo, serbia is equally bound no investments with unresolved issues or baggage from the past.Investors want security and a return on investments. yes serbia is richer than kosovo but as the saying goes feed the rich go home poor or feed the poor n go home rich

@Kosova-Usa The resolution may not state naything about "status" but it also states nothing about techincal talks either. The topic of the talks is undecided. The resolution does not specify anything on what the talks are on only that there must be "dialogue".

Ivanović said that "the upcoming event in New York should be taken advantage of to set the deadline for starting negotiations on Kosovo's status.”

what Status are you talking about OLI? Haven't you read the EU resoltion that just passed UNGA? What a lier you are OLI, you have no shame to use the word status and Serbian President never mentioned that word.
