How Albanians became Muslims? A)With will, B)with force, C)with economic pressure?

aNSWER: A B C all

Why only Albanians and not Serbs or Greeks?

We know Albanians were Catholic Christians. Serbs and Greeks were Orthodox Christins. Turks wanted to invate ROMA, VENEDIC Europe and destroy Catholic.

Albanians and SKENDERBEG had support from VENEDIC and TURKS did not like that. Main ennemy of Turks were Catholic Albanians. Serbs and Greeks worked together with Turks thats why they were not forced to change relegion.

Serbs and Greeks did not cost any trouble to Turks.

Orthodox and Muslims did not had to pay Tax. Orthodox and Muslims were free. Catholics who fight were forced to change relegion, pay taxes etc.

Albanians did not have more power and they give up, and took the Muslim relegion in order to not be descriminated.

Today we can see that Islam relegion it is not so strong faith inside Albanians as for other Islam countries.

(Tommy USA, 17 September 2010 20:04)

Assuming the above is correct, it is still less worse than being under Serbia and with no future, and in any case it is for the Albanians to say.

There are several posts around trying to tell Albanians how they should feel. This is so ridiculous; if this were translated into a dialog between a Serb and an Albanian it would go something like this:

S: You are is a so bad shape

A: No, I feel much better than before

S: No, listen to me, I know it better than you how you feel; you feel bad

A: But, no, I really feel good

S: No, you don’t feel good. You should feel what I tell you to.

(Ron, 17 September 2010 14:37)

No, the majority does not know that. So you need to specify what you mean by "all". If "all" = minority, than you are correct.

The majority of the world does not agree with you. More precisely, 109 countries did not think that Kosovo was a province, when they voted for Kosovo to be admitted to the WB and IMF.

Gjergj Fishta,

I'm glad you feel free, but many Serbs view your take-over of Kosovo as a slow and deliberate so you can have a mono-ethnic state. Good for you..(spare me about wanting to be a multi-ethnic state).

Unfortunately for you and your ilk, your are now starting to see that becoming a country is harder than it looks. I hope you enjoy your continued stint into poverty because eventually the E.U. and US handouts will end and black market economics can only do so much. Please tell me who in their right mind would want to invest in Kosovo that isn't getting a sweet-heart deal from the masterminds of making you an independent state? Even the American legislatures that support you are now getting ignored about requests to send more tax payer dollars to fund your criminal state. Believe me, Diaspora money can only go so far too…

Besides, what seems to be escaping most of you Albanians is that Europeans wanted to create to Kosovo so they can export your criminal gangs back home and restrict your visas (see France and Romas). But what do people like me who worked at the International level and in the region know compared to you and your global "expertise." But you are entitled to think otherwise...

So enjoy your new-found freedom. Unfortunately, a VERY ROUGH road lies ahead for you and many of your fellow Albanians haven't thought that through. AHH, but being independent with no future feels so good doesn't it???

This makes nations having some weird friends doesn’t it Winston.
Explain to me Winston, how and when did Brasil and South Africa became Serbia’s “friends”.
And as far as soul selling is considered, I don’t believe that you have the necessary knowledge of the Albanian history (or you have been reading to much of the Serbian history books) to make such statements.
You see Winston, if you have read unbiased history docs (and I am not saying Albanian history books here) you would not put forward the comments you do.

And Serbs will also never forget the actions of the Albanians in KiM over centuries, not just the 90's which Albanians love to concentrate on. Albanians have been ethnically-cleansing, and killing, Serbs in KiM for as long as they had the power to do so. Read about how Albanians behaved when they had special privelages during the Ottoman rule, because they were turn-coats, and some of the clubs your grand daddies belonged to during WWII. Isn't it clear? These people who talk about another 47 or 55 or however many recognitions "Kosova" needs obviously do not understand that the Security Council makes the final decision, regardless of whether the general assembly makes a recommendation. Russia and China will veto any recommendation pointing to independence, that much is clear.

"Kosova" is not fully independent and never will be. "Kosova" will not return as an autonomous province under complete Belgrade control either. Lets face reality my friends, more than autonomy, less than independence. Does everyone understand, it is self-fulfilling?

Additionally, it is not of crucial importance for Kosova to join the UN. It is of crucial interest to be recognized by as much countries as possible. "Article 4 of the UN Charter says that any peace-loving state can become a member, but exclusively on a unanimous recommendation of the UN Security Council," explained Tanja Miščević of the government's Council for EU Integration.
--
Isn't it clear? These people who talk about another 47 or 55 or however many recognitions "Kosova" needs obviously do not understand that the Security Council makes the final decision, regardless of whether the general assembly makes a recommendation. Russia and China will veto any recommendation pointing to independence, that much is clear.

"Kosova" is not fully independent and never will be. "Kosova" will not return as an autonomous province under complete Belgrade control either. Lets face reality my friends, more than autonomy, less than independence. Does everyone understand, it is self-fulfilling?

Now lets negotiate based on that reality. Lets work towards a bright future and block out those living in an angry past. Those with selective memories are part of the problem, not the solution. It's time to negotiate my friends.

A simple message I want to convey to Kosovar-Albanians who are bidding for memberships of certain or various organizations is to persevere and for that matter not give up in what you're striving for. Good luck.

What do you think?
(winston, 17 September 2010 16:27)

Winston, I think you should Google “Gjergj Fishta”!
B.T.W. I believe you understand the saying “The enemy of my Enemy is my friend”.

Who will have the longer memory?
my dear, you serbs, tried during centuries to destroy albanians,to destroy albanian memory creating even a muslim nation in yugo,in order to make us forget that we are albanians! And all your intellectuals, your academicians, your politicians spend time and money to convince the world that we do not exist !And our non existing nation did survive despite turkish oppression, despite serbian oppression, despite greek oppression all these centuries!
So ,if you think that now,you are or will be able to eradicate our memory, then i must admit that you will never learn anything from history!Be sure that albanianswill have the longer memory, and you do know why!

Nobody believed 5 years ago that Kosovo would have proclaim its independence or that one day it would join IMF and WB.

I think it's naive to say "never"...you just never know. Don't count on Russian support forever, they like Serbs but they like their own interests first.

"I hope you enjoy your continued stint into poverty because"..
tommy usa,Indeed we do,because the poverty we now have has nothing to do with the powerty we had,and we would have if we were still under serbian rules!kosovo has never been as good as it is now,and believe me every day is better than the day before!Indeed we are still at the phase "we built our houses and gardens"because we have so much suffered seing our houses and gardens destroyed that it is our immediate response to our killers.
But this phase is ending ,and with a pretty good result, and now we are going in phase 2..
Despite you being at an international level, you can not even imagine how ressourcefull we are and how we can manage well in harsh environment!I just want to remember you that during the milosheviq period,we did manage a paralele system without your help during 10 years,so we wll able accomplish phase 2 as well as phase 1,
don't worry for us,hardest time are behind us!

Some organistaions are only open for STATES. And Kosovo is, as we all know, a province!
