Kosovo recognition is a deliberate act of America. IT sets a precedent for all other minority groups to do the same as the KLA--take up the gun and kill civilians and when the police kill a few of you call it ethnic cleansing and the us press has a field day. US exploits these conflicts for self interest. conflicts lead to creation of small statelets which Uncle Sam controls.

Who is Sarajevo? and what is NATO going to do? My God you people are so far out of touch with reality.

You are quite right they should have used NATO a long time ago, but today it now useless organisation that has shown its high levels of incompetence and shortcomings in Afghanistan. Once NATO leaves that arena it will be reorganised with a name change and one of the major players in this new organisations will be the Russians and not the US.

I get very tired of people making ludicrous statements about NATO doing this or that. I would personally like to see NATO start something. The only reason RS stays in BiH is because of EURO DOLLARS, by the millions from the EU.

I’ll accept that the woman has re-married and has children, and is happy in that situation, but where is the money coming from to feed that family? The EU – no they are not going to subsidise them for ever; industry in Kosovo – no there is really nothing there for private enterprise to be tempted unless the EU pours massive subsides (as did the old Yugo) and in this case look at my first statement. The EU is having enormous financial difficulties and major cut backs are on the horizon i.e. 2011 and 2012. The EU predicts it will come out of the recession by 2015/16.

Will the family be allowed to emigrate to the EU – no because the EU is busy trying to return 200 000 back to Kosovo. The only option left is for the family to seek jobs in Serbia, so we are going to have Illyrians moving into Serbia proper and then 40 years down the track complaining that they are discriminated against – its ground hogs day. But there is a huge problem because Serbs are not going to give the Albanians jobs – you should hear what happened when a couple of Montenegrins and Albanians (Kosovo) came to Kragujevac looking for work in the new car factory. They told the Montenegrins to ask Djukanovic for work and the Albanians to knock on Thaci’s door.

This is the EU/US trying to glue the paper back after unwrapping the present they found not to their liking. Look at the railways of Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia – the EU is paying for running of railways as a single unit.

Kosovo will be left as an isolated unit never allowed to join with Albania and it will be even more now a backwater that will rival Albania in the poverty stakes and no one will care.

Was is Milosevic or Izetbegovic that was playing the secessionist game?
You cannot be taken seriously when you play fast and loose with the facts. It was not 8,000 "civilians" that were massacred, it was 800,000 women, children, seniors, invalids, aid workers, dogs, cats, etc. The Serbian troops mistaked all of them for Nasir Oric, who managed to escape. Milosevic thought if he exterminated all of them, Yugoslavia would be able to secede from Bosnia, once and for all breaking Itzebegovic who had called in the mujahedeen to help him preserve the multi-ethnic Yugoslavia.

Radmanović is playing the secessionist game of Dodik, which is in essence the same game played by Milosevic, now-imprisioned Karadzic and now-in-hiding Mladic, who was the responsible for the slaugther of 8,000 civillians in Srebrenica.

And they really think Sarajevo and NATO will say “yes” to RS secession? Certainly it would create a precedent for Bosnian War II.

Meanwhile, she's totally content in her marriage to another man with whom she now has children. Maybe she left him for reasons that some would consider unfair or immoral, but she left him and she's not coming back.

How about stop talking about secession and just secede? The longer the RS just talks about secession and does nothing, the more the people believe that the RS leadership is soliciting personal bribes from the west.

Neither BiH without RS nor a restored Serbian entity in Krajina strike me as realistic scenarios. And countries like Serbia and BiH can withhold recognition of Kosovo until the end of time but that doesn't change the fact that Kosovo is now independent.

The Serbian plight seems analogous to the guy who continues to hold out hope of getting his long-last girlfriend back. Meanwhile, she's totally content in her marriage to another man with whom she now has children. Maybe she left him for reasons that some would consider unfair or immoral, but she left him and she's not coming back.

BiH is a disfunctional state primairly due to ethnic divisions. Repeating after those leaders that preach ethnic divisions doesnt solve problems it makes them worse. As it is half the nation is off limits to one group or another, making three such zones is literally idiotic. It seems to have occured to noone that maybe a normal civil democracy might be better for everyone. Only such a society can guarantee everyone equality and protection everywhere in BiH and hopefully open peoples perspective that their is life beyond ones village too.

The EU cannot possibly take in the Balkans. It is far too complicated for their simple minds.

They attempt to solve problems in one place and another springs up elswhere. BiH is a disfunctional state. Better to give the Croatians an entity in exchange for a Serbian entity in Croatia and then everyone can go their merry way.
