"Meanwhile to becaome member of NATO,Serbia must persuade all major powers and Albania to vote Yes.And Albania can not vote Yes,if kosovars will say don't.So in order to beccome member of NATO,Serbia must have sign a deal with K-Alb.
It is a long process, but in the end is worthied, because is better than be a Moscow satellite.

which blue bird gave you the info that Serbia is dying to enter Nato and become a lackey of the Yankees?

One thing you forgot here. Serbia does not wan NATO membership. If for some reason they went down that path I'm sure Albanians would be told what to say and do.

Which one of the following statements are false?

a) Bulgaria and Romania joined the EU in 2007 without completing the acquis communautaire;

b) Both Bg & Ro had three years grace from jan 2007 to jan 2010 to fulfill the remainder;

c) Neither have fulfilled the required conditions as of jan 2010;

d) The EU is ruled by compromise and consistently ignores its own rules when suited;

e) Considering the above (and not even mentioning whatever the 'deal' now is between Brussels and Belgrade), predicting EU membership dates is a fools game practiced by fools.

f) Neither Kosovo nor Albania will join the EU before Serbia;

RE; Albania and the EU

Doesn't matter what list Albania is on, they are at least a decade away from gaining admission to the EU.

Albania is behind Serbia in all economic indicators and they were not bombed by NATO to the dark ages.

The EU has enough problems with Bulgaria, Romania, Spain, Portugal and Greece to think about Albania or any other country for that matter.

He also added that the date for starting the talks on the country's accession into the European Union could be set for mid-2012.

It's sad to see a politician so high up in the country's hierarchy prepared to accept
a change in his country's borders for the sake of some distant future membership of the German dominated EU.What makes mr Delic think the EU will exist in its present form in five or ten years time?

Most important what mr Delic has to say to his ancestors who fought and died for this land he's prepared to give away.I am sure he's got no answers.

Getting the candidate status it is going to take some time.First, it requires that 27 countries to approve the SAA.For Albania it took 28 months,even though our FM was pushing every member and our gonverment made some unpopular consesions to Greece(the last country that voted Yes for Albania).After this,Serbia will apply for becoming candidate and the EC will vote for Serbia to become a candidate.Albania will become a candidate in Nov-Dec 2010 while is member of NATO since 2009,and the SAA was approved since 2009.Meanwhile, Albania will be in white list of Schengen in Nov 2010.
If EU will be really speeding up the process Serbia can apply for becoming a candidate in spring 2012.
Becoming a member is another story.After accepting Croatia the EU will freeze the process till 2020 and I thing will accept all remaining Balkan countries en block.

We could have kept Kosovo and joined the (free) world with dignity and every right on our side but yet "our" western installed leaders are so obsessed of being at it again & again.

Tadic & his team are now a matter for historians to sort out
(BRIC, 14 September 2010 12:10)
Curious as to how you could have "kept" Kosovo? Serbia has not "had" Kosovo in over 11 years, just a claim in name only. No physical possession, no economic possession, no political possession

Peggy

Just look at Croatia. The country started accession negotiations in 2005 and will join the EU in 2012 or 2013.

For the moment our man in Belgrade is Tadic so it could be help with at least a speed SAA ratification from all EU countries...Regards other things i think that The Serbian press is far optimistic than the reality is--

I think that Serbia will begin accession negotiations with the EU in 2013.

Serbia will need 7 years to complete the EU accession process. This means that Serbia will join the EU in 2020.

Just look at Croatia. The country started accession negotiations in 2005 and will join the EU in 2012 or 2013.
