The last parliamentary elections were in 2008. Therefore the next one is scheduled for 2012.

That's if of course there is a Serbia left by 2012 or is the DS going to sell out everything outside of Belgrade?

I used to think it would be better to just wait until 2012 in the meantime for the opposition to unify under one voice.. mainly Tomislav Nikolic. However I'm just worried that there might not be a country left for there to even need a parliament.

These modern day "Nedic-ists" need to go away. Nothing they are doing is helping Serbia in any way.

originally I was for early elections-but I dont think they are a good idea. we should wait until 2013 when they are sceduled I believe.

if the opposition wins the enemies of serbia will use it to thier advantage, any government in power in serbia not approved or controlled by the west will be used as a scapegoat for the further humiliation and disintegration of serbia.

its better to let the serbs see and feel the consequences of the tadic regime for the next few years. by 2013 the serbs will still be demonized regardless of what they do, they will be the scapegoats for all that goes wrong in the balkans, they will loose more territory and will be reduced in size to one of the smallest nations in europe, they will still not be members of the EU, unemployment rates will rise, the few nationally owned comapanies that remain will be gobbled up by western european conglomerates. to feed themselves the serbs will depend on food imports and falsely inflated prices(this is already in effect). the enormous trade deficits with nations like croatia will remain or heighten.

lowe,

Next parliamentary elections in Serbia will be held in May 2012.

So there's time and space for SNS to sing many faith healing songs. But if government party MPs won't turn against present government there's also time for good things to turn out due to present policy. I personally wish there will be good things. The responsibility lies equally on the shoulders of common Serbian citizens, their parliament and government, and the EU. Somewhat astonishingly I trust least the EU...

How is the legal procedure in Serbia for announcing elections ahead of schedule? What kind of significance does it have when some opposition parties demand elections?

Constitutionally, by when must the next Serbian election be held? Thanks in advance to anyone with the info.

In any case, methinks Tadic & Co. won't wanna call for elections any time soon.
