Before Yankees on B92 get all excited and flushed with victory, it is worth noting that Castro was talking about "modest reforms", not a complete about turn to unbridled capitalism.

Moreover he talked about the problems of the communist ECONOMIC model, not its POLITICAL dimension. Which makes me suspect he is really admiring the Chinese reforms and not the West in his old age.

Unbelievable. Maybe a translation error? Can't imagine that Fidel is really admiting to perpetuate a failing system. If this is true, Castro really became wise on his old days. Hope that people of Cuba can finally free themselves. It is time..
