AdamNYC,

Cries of peace from the Serb church?

Are you kidding me?

Serbian priests in Kosovo are too busy crying for help as the albanians remain intent on destroying our heritage!

I'm not surprised by your typical albanian response. . .still ignoring the crimes committed against the Serbs after the war in 'peacetime' yet focusing on alleged crimes committed by Serbian forces during their counter-insurgency against albanian separatists/terrorists.

Moreover, due to geopolitical pressure, Serbians that may have committed war crimes against innocent albanians are rotting away in jail cells in The Hague and Belgrade. Albanian terrorists that have committed unspeakable crimes against Serbs and Albanians loyal to their Serbian state are now your political leaders and revered amongst your populace.

What a shameful joke!

Can't you understand once and for all that we Serbs - including our political and religious leaders - as well as the majority of the worlds population, do not recognize the fake state of 'kosova'?

To us, there is no 'albanian leadership'. Its just a bunch of murderers, thieves and rapists that have stolen Serbian land.

That's the reality.

....we Serbs need to somehow show sympathy for this one soul? When our children are machine gunned while swimming in a river, our KLA neighbors rejoice in their murder.

As an Orthodox CHRISTIAN...my prayer goes out to this soul along with countless others, Albanian and Serbian who have suffered. Guilty for being born Serb or Albanian as their only crime.

As an Christ, and even as a human we have to show love and peace to everythere, without thinking back to worse times. Thats the only way to peace.

@Nemanja

are you kidding? you must be new to this site.

the distinction... is where are the cries of peace from serb leadership? the serb church, any serb officials?

you see fit to mention Serb being murdered, house destroyed, prevented from resettling, church destroyed etc..

well how nice of you. though not surprising. Yes serbs apologists will never hesitated to mention. can you can describe the reactions of those same serb political/church leadership to those acts against serbs? outrage? protests? a hundred and one reasons to turn back the clock?

and what is the reaction by serbs to albanian leadership responses? lies? propaganda? lipservice to the media? fake?

now go ahead and describe how those same serb political and religious leadership react to crimes committed against albanians?

apparently it doesnt even warrant acknowledgment does it?

congrats, you are step up from every single serb political and religious leader in kosovo.

essentially anonymous posters can put up any pretenses they wish... but if you really want to judge mentalities, you will find the pleasant condolences by serbs to albanian victims... who will be instantly forgotten.

But to serb victims, you can watch them transform into political and propagandist tools that will forevermore be used for nationalist purposes, always on standby to be used in response to any new violence.

just as you couldnt help doing yourself in your post.

yes, when it all "equals" out, there really are no bad guys right?

"Milosovics ghost" is a cute little response to be sure... but be clear that is your cutesy little way of avoiding the reality that many serbs havent changed a bit in the last few decades, that it was not all slobo, Milosovic was always a scapegoat.

The Prishtina papers are saying he was at a kafana with friends when he noticed two men getting out of a car. He immediately exited the kafana and started walking away. His friends heard shots a few minutes later. The shots were to the neck and throat, small-caliber ammo. The police are searching for a white Golf that had no license plates when the witnesses saw it.

This doesn't sound like an accident, or a random attack.

So when an albanian is killed (bet by his own kind) we Serbs need to somehow show sympathy for this one soul? When our children are machine gunned while swimming in a river, our KLA neighbors rejoice in their murder.

"Please relax, some of you radical Albanians here. You really sound ignorant by jumping the gun, and pointing the finger at the Serbian MUP, and what not."

Well we are kinda paranoid as you can see, based on our experience with MUP, we have seen it all, and we know what your MUP is capable of doing to us. You speak out of shear knowledge I am sure, but we prefer to be sceptical since we have suffered from it big time.....

In any case I agree, maybe it is time to wait and let the authorities do their work.

pss,

Unlike Argon, I have never accused Albanian police or government agents in Kosovo of perpetrating crimes against Serbs. Argon was way off the mark and I called him on it. You cannot draw any parallel with what he stated and what I have said in the past. Furthermore, each situation is different, and depending on the area the crime occurs, the probability of the suspect coming from one ethnic group or another can be greater or lesser, depending on demographics. Simple.

Jason,

Disregard the criticism coming from the usual antagonists. . .your comments are insightful and your support is greatly appreciated.

And notice the difference in mentalities among the Serb and Albanian posters. . .the Serbs convey their condolences and wishes for peace at the tragedy of an Albanian death.

Rarely, have I read a similar response from an Albanian whenever:

* a Serb is murdered or
* a Serb house is destroyed or
* a Serb is prevented from resettling
* or a bomb is thrown into a Serb cafe or
* yet another Serbian church is destroyed

Instead its the usual dribble about the MUP or Milosevic's ghost or some other nonsense.

And to the Albanian poster that indicated that 'it better not have been a Serb involved in the death'. . .

. . .Or what? Are you going to tell on us to the Americans?

Yet another veiled and impotent threat.

Grow up already.

It is the tendency of posters on this site (on both sides) to immediately jump to the conclusion every violent act is the result of ethniticity. Why not wait until some type of investigation has occurred. If your theories panned out then nations without ethnic issues would be crime free.
Jason, you chastise Argon for being the first to turn this into a political situation, where has been your chastisement when roles have been reversed. It only perpetuates ethnic hatred when you accuse the other side and defend your own for the same actions.

I am not going to go in the details of Agron’s post, and I totally agree that until the perpetrator(s) is/are caught we should not assume in any way or shape.
We all know “assume” does, don’t we Jason?
The only question I have for you is this.
I do believe that you will agree that Agron’s comment was comment number 7 in the subject.
Now Jason, if the murdered person was a Serb, which comment number do you think would be the one that would point the finger at Albanians?
I will say with confidence that it would be within the first three (if not the first one).
What do you think?
I know that I should have started my comment with the same words that Pejoni did and I do apologise for not doing that.
My sincere condolences to the Mehmeti family in these hard times for them. I hope that whoever is responsible for this coward act will be caught and he/she/they will receive the deserved sentence.

Well Agron, I see you got tired of spewing your venom in Sofia Echo so you think you can come to B92 and so it. Let me remind you that B92 will not publish the vulgar things you are used to putting on Sofia Echo.
I wonder if they finally banned you from there and that's why you are looking for other outlets.

I know I am your favourite target for vulgar instructions on what to do with you but let's see how far you get here.

I suggest you go to Kosovo and start your own investigation. Take Roberto with you.

Well I wonder why things allways happends in N.miro just before special events on the international stage concerning Kosovo. I guess serbian Mup is carrying out their old dutys in Kosovo. Last time before the ICJ verdict a bosniak resident died in a bomb attack.

Very poor tactics. The killed guy was only 31 years old and should not get in the fire of politics.

But I guess this is how Serbian goverment fight their ''diplomatic battle''. Those who feel guilty of their own should be ashamed.

Kosovo police should have full police control over N.Mitrovica and that is NOW.
(Agron, 8 September 2010 14:19

Way to go, Agron! You managed to be the first to turn this into a political blame game. Although the perps have not been caught you assume they are Serbian operatives. Truth is, no one knows who did it right now. If it was on King Peter Street you could safely assume it was a Serb suspect. In this area, however, you cannot. I would sit back and remain quiet if I were you because you only look foolish by making ridiculous speculation on this tragic incident.

As for you rather lame call for KP to be in the area, what say you to the areas that KP does work and yet there are still school shootings, stabbings, and quadruple homicides in places like Urosevac, Pec, and Kamenica?

"Please relax, some of you radical Albanians here. You really sound ignorant by jumping the gun, and pointing the finger at the Serbian MUP, and what not."

Well we are kinda paranoid as you can see, based on our experience with MUP, we have seen it all, and we know what your MUP is capable of doing to us. You speak out of shear knowledge I am sure, but we prefer to be sceptical since we have suffered from it big time.....

In any case I agree, maybe it is time to wait and let the authorities do their work.

....we Serbs need to somehow show sympathy for this one soul? When our children are machine gunned while swimming in a river, our KLA neighbors rejoice in their murder.

As an Orthodox CHRISTIAN...my prayer goes out to this soul along with countless others, Albanian and Serbian who have suffered. Guilty for being born Serb or Albanian as their only crime.

As an Christ, and even as a human we have to show love and peace to everythere, without thinking back to worse times. Thats the only way to peace.
