"... and just to refresh your memory, China has said they WILL NOT recognise Kosovo. So you see, you are getting too excited over nothing.

Thank you for worrying about my mental state, but somehow I don't feel particularly excited. (Interested, yes.)

"And when was the last time China said they would never recognize Kosovo? Has it been since their judge left the ICJ proceeding? They don't have to actually recognize to be helpful - just letting it be known they intend to abstain rather than use their veto at the SC would be helpful".
(Amer, 5 September 2010 18:21)
========================

This is getting really boring now. Why do you people need to be told every day that recognition isn't coming in order for it to sink in?
If I tell you that I will not do something then I don't need to keep telling you that. Wait until I say that I will before you have a smile on your face. Isn't it how it works?

German and American representatives are still arriving in Serbia all the time but that doesn't mean they will change their mind and they don't need to keep repeating it for us to know it. Why do you think China has to keep repeating their stance in order for you to get it just because someone showed up?

Like I said once before. They are there to peddle their surplus to your brethren. That's it.

Thank you for worrying about my mental state, but somehow I don't feel particularly excited. (Interested, yes.) This particular Chinese visit may not mean anything, but don't you think it's curious that the first time a high Chinese official travels to Tirana is immediately prior to the vote on this resolution of Serbia's? And when was the last time China said they would never recognize Kosovo? Has it been since their judge left the ICJ proceeding? They don't have to actually recognize to be helpful - just letting it be known they intend to abstain rather than use their veto at the SC would be helpful.

Finally ! It took Albania 600 years to be looking after their land called Dardania (Kosova).Bravo Tirana .Tell those Albanian speaking collaboraters that there is not such a thing Kosova but only a region of Albania called Dardania.Tell them that even Rankovic and cetniks like Milloshevic and some Albanian speaking Dardanians wanted to split Albanian nation in two diferent states and will never happen.It is your duty and right to take that place in to your own borders.Those newcomers will have to go back were they came from.Do not forget Sanxhak,Nish,Vranje,Kurshumlin,Medvedjen ,Bujanovcin ,Presheven and all Albanian lands occupied by the Srbs and now some so called Macedonians.

Amer, you are so sure what China was doing in Albania but you cannot possibly see what China is doing in Serbia.

China's military and Serbia's military are cooperating very nicely while China is trying to peddle some surplus good they have to your brethren.

Serbs can say that they had both German and English visits just before the UNGA meeting. What should Serbia read into that? Let's see. We are not going to try to pretend that these guys came as friends. Perhaps they came because they are worried about the outcome. Why else are they trying so hard to have Serbia's proposal of view revoked by Serbia? If there is so much confidence that Serbia will fail why waste time trying to talk Serbia into taking it back.

Why certain people travel to certain countries may have nothing to do with friendship. Germany and UK have proved that one but business goes on and just to refresh your memory, China has said they WILL NOT recognise Kosovo. So you see, you are getting too excited over nothing.

Since the US-UK-EU bloc is too scared to pursue the matter for fear of being voted down at the UN, how much success can Albania have when everybody knows who stands behind them?!
(highduke, 4 September 2010 16:39)

It took Albania's foreign minister 2 days to get a recognition. Not too shabby. This was the first time Albania actually took a proactive role and lobbied for recognition.

Tirana is turning into the place to be these days - a Chinese official ("a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee" - you detect the Xinhua style?) is visiting China's traditional friend Albania. A different article refers rather hazily to "trade," but then you'd expect somebody from the relevant ministries to be included in the group, wouldn't you? As Ataman has mentioned, tourist facilities have been greatly improved, or maybe the guest has an over-riding interest in Roman antiquities and can't wait to see the new discoveries from Butrint ... Still, three days immediately during the week preceding the UN GA meeting? Kosovo and trade are the only topics mentioned so far in the press, but no details so far on either.
