This is why Serbia does not have the sympathy of any of the countries that understand the situation in the region. Kosovo gov. should make aware every country about this stance by Serbia.
(BalkanUpdate, 4 September 2010 14:57)
====================
So, unless you are sympathetic to Albanians you cannot possibly understand the situation.
Also, every country does know Serbia's stance already. No need for K-Albanians to go to any trouble of announcing it to the world. But, the world also knows Albanian stance and unfortuantely for you 2/3 of it don't agree with you.

To all those who are talking nonsense about Serbia recognizing Kosovo by talking to Pristina you might like to learn a little about how international politics works. States regularly engage in talks with groups they do not recognise. That is how conflicts are solved.

All this talk about sitting down with KA officials equalling recognition is the sort of rubbish being peddled by those on both sides who don't really want a solution - deluded hardline Serbs and ignorant nationalist Albanians (often living comfortably far away from Kosovo).

the nano second serbian politicians sit down at the same table and talk with pristina rather than soley throught middle men.

its all over.

serbs schemes from the moment they intentionally chose to inherit milosovics flag and delude themselves into thinking they were somehow inheritors... have always hinged on pretending that the one and only elected govt. of kosovo by the people of kosovo, simply didnt exist.

More time goes on more I realize that tadic and jeremic are like don kishote and sanco panca. Very funny guys indeed! serbia is not in a very enviable position in our days, it looks that this country is in a long hibernation.

There will be no dialogue between Serbia and the terrorist ex-KLA thugs in Pristina. These criminals were murdering Serbs just 10 years ago - torturing them, cutting out their organs - Belgrade will never talk to this filth, except through bars, maybe. These thugs in Pristina were placed in office by the US, who else could they have propped up? Who? Give some names, Albanians.
(winston, 4 September 2010 15:32)
Well the organ myth has been pretty much dismissed as a fairy tale with everyone who has investigated it, even the Serbian office is no longer mentioning it.
So why would anyone believe the rest of your post.
With the documentation of the Serbian role in the not only Kosovo but all the balkan roles, they are still saying "trust us".
It is those with your attitude that you are forced to deal with the UDI instead of a negotiated deal in the first place.

Tadic has finally realized that his resolution will not get more than 25-27% of the votes, and he wants to save the face in front of the Serbian voters. Of course he's gonna change the resolution, there is no other way. The funniest part of all this theater is the fact that anyway the Serbian government will say that they won in the UNGA

"Tadić said that although Serbia respects the legitimate rights of Kosovo Albanians, it cannot accept dialogue with officials of the so-called state of Kosovo."

I can not believe that a head of state can be so NAIVE. Tadic has no choice but to talk directly to Kosovo representative/government/president. That is not because he has to love them or they love him but for the sake of peace and stability in the region.

"He said that a solution could be found that would satisfy both Serbia and the European Union and pave the way for starting dialogue on resolving the Kosovo issue."

So the message Tadic is sending to the international community is that he doesn't care what K.Albanians have to say. Way to go Tadic.
(Gustave, 4 September 2010 12:03)
Now then he is going to look very foolish if he presents his resolution to the UNGA, calling for support for
"Calls on the sides to find a mutually acceptable solution for all disputed issues through peaceful dialogue, with the aim of achieving peace, security and cooperation in the region."
and then saying
" that although Serbia respects the legitimate rights of Kosovo Albanians, it cannot accept dialogue with officials of the so-called state of Kosovo."
Who other than Russia is going to support any type of talks that do not include the representatives of Kosovo.

Did you translate this correct B92? Just want to clarify, because Serbia has been calling for dialogue with Kosovo for years, but I guess they intended to have this dialogue with Aliens?

I'm breathless to see how a compromise between reality (Kosovo independence) and illusion (the past of Serbia rule) can look like. Not even on Judgement Day, Albanians will surrender their freedom.

No compromise Tadic.

You go to the UN GA - and you'll be one more time humiliated.

The compromise that the EU/US is looking from Serbia is only for preserving her face from one more humiliation that will demoralize Serbia.

It is very easy for EU/US and Kosova to persuade the countries that haven't yet recognised Kosova to vote against or abstain from voting the Serbian resolution than you can imagine.
