You forgot to mention that all Croats living in this area where either executed expelled from their homes in 1991. These people were made to be refugees in their own country.
Hundreds of Croatian homes were destroyed and looted, catholic churches were burnt to the ground.

WHY?

Whether it ends in not guilty or not will have no impact on the facts.

The facts are that Serbs were ethnically cleansed from Croatia. The facts are that hundreds of houses were set on fire. The facts are that hundreds of Serbian civilians that remained were murdered and more were physically attacked. All the elements for ethnic cleansing were present.

Serbs and Croats know who Tudjman was and how he saw the Serb population in Croatia. He wanted to get rid of them, as did most Croats at the time and as do most Croatian nationalists do today. The political conditions were ripe for ethnic cleansing.

That evil will not be buried if Gotovina is given a slap on the wrist.

I am full of understanding of why some Croats jumped onto the nationalist train in that period. But it does not change the fact that civilians were exiled from the country in one of the most shameful acts in recent Croatian history.

I am very doubtful the NATO court will convict one of their own. The US office there will make sure Gotovina is set free one way or another otherwise they will look bad for participating in this genocide.
