Danilo, if loving your country and fighting for it's very existence and integrity is being hyper-nationalist then count me in.

LDP supporters are a minor few who are attracted to their stances on human rights - something that's in an abysmal state of affairs in Serbia

"I am sure they are a few supporters of Cedo in belgrade, but for specific financial and personal benefits and not for his policies towards the nation."

No, sir.

It is entirely possible for someone to have a completely different opinion than you and for them to not be some kind of "traitor"

For some reason people from the Balkans have great difficulty with this elementary notion.

NATO illegaly bombed Serbia, and this is no speculation, this is the fact. And now this man wants to join this fleet, so he can send our boys to the middle east, Asia and Africa?....And pretend this NATo agression never happened? I am sorry to be blunt, but to want to join this club, it would have to include 30 peices of silver...;

I am fully aware Cedo has followers, but these are citizens either of "higher" class, or men/women out of the country entirely.

Depends what circles you move in, I guess. I've met lots. Definitely LDP supporters are a minority, but they certainly exist.

I hope nobody with Cedo's views gets elected in Serbia for at least another 20 years. While his ideas are in line with those of the EU and the US ; they are very detrimental to our cause. As an Albanian I think we benefit more from the traditional Serb foreign policy towards Albanians; that is we benefit more from hardliners like Tadic, Jeremic, Kostunica, Nikolic when it comes to their attitudes towards Kosova. Confrontation of Serbia with the West is more beneficial to our cause. Someone like Cedo taking a softer line would be damaging to our cause. Personally I believe it would be great for us, if the likes of Tadic, Jeremic, Kostunica, Nikolic etc. remain in power in Serbia for at least another 20 years. We cannot make someone like Cedo declare holly war to the West even if we wanted but sure works the rest of these other people do not need our help to say things like that. They seem to have invented the recipe of confrontation with the west. It would be very beneficial for us to have that for another 20 years.

@tru,

you must be unaware that the Serbian MP get paid a salary..that's where he gets his money from. Just because his supporters are in the minority and might be inclined in public not to speak up it does not mean that they don't exist ---- unless under your conspiracy theory you also think that the US and the EVIL WEST stuffed themselves as well?

Be serious for once in your comments.

Cedo, your parents must be so proud of you.
I cannot believe he is not ashamed to utter those words to the very people who were the innocent victims of NATO's aggression.

Way to go Cedo.

This mans stance on NATO entry for serbia is surreal.

I can envision serbian NATO troops facing down russian troops in georgia-truly unimaginable but highly possible if people like Cedo have thier way. There needs to be a referendum on NATO membership in serbia so this unbelievable notion can be once and for all put to rest as a pipe dream of western lap dogs or perhaps as the strange new reality of a truly strange nation called serbia.

“Instead of defending the territorial integrity we should fight for the rights of Serbs in Kosovo. We should request admission to NATO and speeding up of European integrations and a perspective for Kosovo’s membership in the EU and NATO should be opened up,” said the LDP leader.

Who needs outside enemies when we have our own home grown like Cedomir Jovanovic. There is nothing wrong with opposition to any government. But opposition that openly wants to se our country dismembered and join NATO that just yesterday bombed our homes and killed our family members and children is just unbelievable.
(usaSERB)
-
Not to worry, his representation is irrelevant in Serbian politics. His job is to only stir the soup as much as he can. Who do you think is financially supporting him? His followers? I have not met one supporter of Cedo in Belgrade, and believe me, I was curious.

The Serbian people have lost faith in the EU, that option for the society is long gone. The Serbian people to this day still remember the criminal bombardment that NATO/US committed on Serbian land, so to answer the question as into "why" speak such absurd words? ... well I would say he speaks the words from the reptiles mouth. Theres no other way these reptiles can preach unless they do it through an "opposition" party.
