Yes he could but you know as well as all of us here that Albanians will try to distort what you say in order to neutralize your argument.
They don't have any real arguments so they usually put words in your mouth or distort what you say.

When you vouch for somebody, you place something of yours at risk if that person fails to perform. What does eulex give up if hardmush murders more witnesses or runs?

Hopefully their right to stay there. I know I sound like a broken record, but I have never approved of EULEX.

So killing people is not enough in your "impartial" attitude. If you are indeed someone claiming to be impartial when it comes to justice; you don't take lame positions which are clearly pro-Serb. You either are for accused murderer to be allowed to return back to their countries or you're not. In some twisted way you claim to be for not allowing their release but allow it if they happen to be from the side you defend. Then how are you any better than the pro-Haradinaj people? You're not. You're the same exact copy but only playing for the other team. Simple; Sherlock.
(johny, 26 August 2010 22:03)

There you go again, making assumptions and putting words in other people's mouths. As much as you would like this case to be about ethnicity, it is not. It does not matter if the perp is a Serb or an Albanian - if he/she has been identified by the court as being involved in witness intimidation there is no reason whatsoever that he/she be allowed free from court prior to final ajudication. Simple.

What my objection here is that it seems sick that a rule of law mission is the one making a statement for an alleged killer... this is something one would expect a defense attorney to do, and not the very people that should be helping put him away behind bars.

You couldn't figure this out on your own?

Show me where those Serbs were suspected of intimidating witnesses (as well as the unexpalained murders of multiple witnesses in these cases) first before asking me a question, Einstein.

Jason I didn't see you complain when Serb defendants were allowed to go back to Serbia for their vacations. Where was your outrage then? O I forgot, you're more of a Serb than the Serbs themselves.

The fact that EULEX feels it must do this shows that Haradinaj is still an important political player in Kosovo.

In short they feel they can't risk alienating Haradinaj's allies in Kosovo who might turn against the EU mission.

And as usual the majority of ordinary honest Serbs and Albanians who would like to see the back of Haradinaj are being shafted by the powers that be.

johny

Considering EULEX is also supposed to monitor the comings and goings of Serb officials, I doubt such restrictions on Haradinaj will be seriously enforced until a number of people where he previously was conveniently disappear.
(Mike, 25 August 2010 16:59)

-- Don't worry as long as you got Jason there is nothing to worry about.

"During his temporary freedom, Haradinaj will not be allowed to take any position in the Priština authorities, or to participate in public political activities or make public statements, the EULEX statement reads."

This is appalling. It reeks of corruption and favoritism and should be condemned by all.
(Jason, 25 August 2010 09:58)
Hopefully, Eulex is smart enough not to assign you to his monitoring.
