I would encourage re-drawing the boarders of many former colonies to sort out the ethnic and religious issues in many countries. Russia, China and India are perfect examples of countries which need reorganising .

Ian, how about 'redrawing' the borders of the UK? You can start off by making preparations to get the hell out of my country and apologising to the Irish people for genocide and oppression that the British state inflicted on us.

You can then apologise to the people of India and Pakstan for making an absolute pig's ear of 'redrawing' their borders way back in 1947. What an absolute mess you lot left behind,

Could not agree more with the ambassador. India's economy is fast catching up to China, these two are perfect for an export based economy. India's population is rising and so is it's thirst for basic commodities and manufactured goods. Silly Serbian Gov't always focussing on import based economy of EU. Non-aligned and independant is the way to go.

You left out UK here. I'm sure the Irish and Scots would have something to say about that...

What an arrogant person you are. What give UK the right to make any decisions on how the world should look like? UK gave this or that. What rubbish. The world doesn't belong to UK Ian.

If you think that China and Russia need reorganising then please do tell them that. I am sure they will receive it in the spirit you are giving it.
How about UK. I'm sure they too need a bit of reorganising as well. Then there is the US. Wow, the Latinos there would be happy to do a bit of reoganising as well.

Your hate for anyone supporting Serbs is incredible.

"Westminster should have given the frame work to create several states in the post colonial British Raj of Indian instead of creating two states for religious purposes (Hindu and Muslim). As a Brit I am embarrassed about India ..."

And here I was thinking what a clever way it was of giving an entire subcontinent just a couple of votes in the UN. India would be smarter to let some of those regions break off and become independent while maintaining excellent ties with them - they'd have a bigger impact voting as a block.

This was one reason the West really didn't want Yugoslavia to break up, no matter what Serbia suspicions are - 6 votes instead of 1 for only 20+ million people! But as long as Serbia keeps antagonizing its neighbors, and the neighbors look to the West for support, I guess it'll be ok.

The world's largest democracy has not recognized the unilateral declaration of independence made by Kosovo's ethnic Albanians in early 2008, and has backed the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.

I am dying to know who branded India as "The world's largest democracy"??? What a joke. 90% of India's population lives in dire situation. Extreme poverty.

Your beloved the United States of Windbags, that’s who! Perhaps India can look towards the Albanians to show them the high living standards, ha, ha, ha,. You see the United States of America set up India as a rival to China, but the Indians had enough of the British telling them what to do and at the first chance knifed the US.

I'm glad to see albanian chauvinist comments and show how they look down their noses at others. Yes, even these albanians posting on b92 can be outrageous snobs, hurling their little stones furiously from their cheap little glasshouse!

I enjoyed too the comedy comments, especially considering the dire economic situation Kosovo is in, its massive unemployment rate, being a hub for all european traffiking in narcotics etc. (EUROPOL OCTA 2010 document).

India has done a fine job considering that it has close to a billion people. I'm still surprised that they did not bomb Pakistan over the Mumbai terrorist attack, something the West would not have resisted.

Still much work to do but at least they have the strength not to hide behind the skirts of old and worn out super powers.

Congrats to India. I hope they don't make the same insane decisions and propensity for going to war at the drop of a hat as their older and 'wiser' colonial masters are want to do. The British were just there on their knees, begging for Indian economic investment whilst telling them that they will 'cap' visas for foreigners. This, in the 'enlightened' West!

As a Brit I am embarrassed about India, it is an artificial post-colonial state. Westminster paid little attention to the ethnic groups in India and created this artificial country along with Pakistan and Bangladesh (East Pakistan) on religious lines. Westminster should have given the frame work to create several states in the post colonial British Raj of Indian instead of creating two states for religious purposes (Hindu and Muslim). As a Brit I am embarrassed about India and many other post colonial countries, like Nigeria, Pakistan etc. We didn't care about ethnicities or religion when we gave independence to many places across the world. With a lot of countries/ former-colonies we drew boarders with pen and paper only. At least former British colonies are more stable compared to other former European colonies. I would encourage re-drawing the boarders of many former colonies to sort out the ethnic and religious issues in many countries. Russia, China and India are perfect examples of countries which need reorganising .

Which states is she referring to? States created after the collapse of Yugoslavia? I see the point))

"...and that the Kosovo issue should be resolved through peaceful means, through consultation and dialogue with the parties concerned, and not through either confrontation or military action, unilateral or otherwise," she said.

Thanks for "enlighting" us but it the Indian ambassador is a bit late in advising as the Kosovo issue is solved with the end of war.

"The world's largest democracy has not recognized the unilateral declaration of independence made by Kosovo's ethnic Albanians in early 2008, and has backed the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia."

Damn! No Kosovo Albanians is going to travel to India to learn from this prosperous country.

"India and Serbia enjoy very good relations based on the strong foundations laid during the time of President Tito and Prime Minister Nehru," the ambassador said .

Really? Oh it is so sad that President Tito is not with us any longer.)) He kept Yugoslavia all together. And people were so happy under HIM. We live in a very strange world were the nations want to break free)))

Today as we celebrate 63 years of our independence, I would say that India's experience of managing the aspirations of more than a billion people of diverse ethnicity, religions, languages and economic strata, all within a consensual democratic framework, is unique," the ambassador said.
