Montenegrin defense chief urges support for NATO bid

Yes, great benefits! You get to spend all your money on expensive US military hardware, tanks and planes you don't need, and you get to send your soldiers to places like Iraq and Afghanistan to die for imperialist fat cats. You get to keep Lockheed Martin and Raytheon profitable, and pay them expensive maintenance fees year after year. You get to borrow money from foreign banks to pay for all this, and pay them a handsome interest which you can not afford.
Who cares about education, health care, roads, rail, infrastructure..?? Those are silly things which don't affect anybody's quality of life. Keeping the foreign arms industry profitable, while keeping your own country poor, is a far better way to spend your tax revenue!

NATO is just like a Mafia protection racket. As long as you buy their stuff and do a little light bombing on the way or provide the right blood tribute, they you will be ok.

BTW, how is it considered normal in anybody's mind that a country can spend over $500 billion on defense every year? In-*******-sane.

European defense cuts are coming soon. The German DM is suggesting a cut to 55,00 soldiers in its army. The US can complain to the EU as much as they like but they still need Frankfurt Am Mein (sp?) as their main logistics/transport hub for their little wars. How long can the prez justify picking up the tab for the EU? NATO makes no sense but to the military industrial complex and their bought advocates.

For those Montenegreens with Slavic roots I suggest,you should not consider to join NATO for following reasons.
1.NATO was created as defensive military alliance dedicated solely to stop the expansion of communism to Western Europe.After the collapse of communism 1991 NATO status changed to more aggressive alliance to promote and project Western value Eastward with out regards whether Russia agree to it or not, even threatening Russia proper.
Reason #2.NATO is engaged in hot wars with elements of Nations building and social engineering.NATO alliance somehow forgot that West is responsible for two World Wars with kill of 200 million people or more.Their ancestor march on our mother country Russia twice.Are you Montenegro people ready to send your sons and daughters to fight your mother country Russia? If the answer is yes then you would join your"Distinguish" neighbors Croats and Bosnian Muslims who in the World War II sent their "famous" contingent to fight the battle of Stalingrad on Germans side.We all know what a successful military campaign that was.
Think about this my dear friends.You should only consider to join NATO alliance if Russia join it first
