consultation with spc?

since when has the serb orthodox church been a political organazation?

Certainly seems to be how russia is describing them.

i mean we all know the serb church has always been less about christianity and more about nationalist extremism...

but are they now finally shedding the disguise of religion and finally coming out as the nationalist political party they have always been?

nah.

this is more of the same political lipservice serbs bought and paid for by selling off their energy future to their russian 'freinds' for.

"Perhaps the answer is for KFOR to grant authority to the Russians to guard the Serbian churches and monasteries of Kosovo..."

Well, Putin had different plans when withdrawing Russian troops 2003 out of Kosovo. Don`t you agree?

Thanks GOD, we have such a wonderful friends in Moscow. We should be forever grateful to them.SPC and Government of Serbia should reject transfer of security from KFOR to Albanians authorities in Kosovo
Our Churches and Monasteries. In the absence of KFOR security,Government of Serbia shall provide needed security. UN,EU and KFOR should understand, 2004 attack on our Churches and Monasteries is still fresh in our mind.We shall never forget it.

Perhaps the answer is for KFOR to grant authority to the Russians to guard the Serbian churches and monasteries of Kosovo instead of the Kosovo Police who proved themselves to be useless and uncaring about the protection of Serbian holy sites. The Serbian Orthodox Church can tell us what it thinks of the idea of Russians guarding Serbian churches and monasteries.

The decision is within the framework of UNSC1244 which in no way requires or implies consultation with Serbia nor the Church.

But as a UNSC member Russia can call a session in New York and ask for the council to pass a resolution, but making a statement to the Serbian press will do just as good.
