You read what you wanted to read Simpatiku.

BTW, why should Serbs stop selling to Albanians? Why do albanians always come up with this when no one else has?

The real question should be "Why are albanians still buying from Serbs if they are all murderous as**oles etc.?" as we are often told? "We don't need no stinkin' serbs" say the hypocrites. No one is forcing them to buy anything, but they do because it is 'good value'.

The same is true for the crazy georgian nationalists. Sure, they can improve their economic links with the west but by far their biggest market is with their neighbor, Russia. Go figure.

Dreaming about supplanting your main market in the short to medium term is just that. Dreaming. 'Allies' aren't going to buy albanian products just because they are allies. There seems to be this confusion that political friends = economic favors.

BTW, do you know how much it costs for a western supermarket to promote products in the West, whether it be Montenegrin Vranac, Georgian Borjomi (sp?) mineral water etc? It can be a seriously expensive business regardless of how good the product is, success is by no means guaranteed.

Kosovo albanians are now 'free' to buy whatever and from whomever they want.

The irony here is that despite the daily threats (to non-albanians) and demands on Belgrade by Pristina, they still demand need normal relations with Belgrade because of their blackhole economy. Why should Belgrade do Pristina any economic favors when it behaves in such a threatening manner? Or should it do it to please Brussels or as 'war reparations'? What a joke.
They can pretend about autarky but it is just another fantasy.

Why do you think that Brussels and co are pushing so hard for Bosnian 'reform' (i.e. the effective abolishment of Dayton)? All the talk about human rights etc. is very nice but the Federation is also a blackhole that is continually on the brink of bankruptcy and Brussels and co are sick of being the ones asked to bail it out. Not to mention that where there are no jobs, all sorts of extremely undesirable people gather and do all sorts of undesirable things.

They don't want to be your financial guarantor forever. Simples.

Simpatiku Nul Points. Simpatiku No Points. Oh no, you don't get to do Eurovision!

Reading is not your forte is it? Since when does 'buying' = 'free'? You clearly did not understand my post. Whatever.

Aleks
I only ironically said that. Of course buying is not free. However according to your previous comment it looked exactly like that. The last I checked Serbian budget collects at least 250 million euros yearly from the products it sells in Kosovo. She can as well stop selling which means that she will be without those millions.

Then stop buying serbian products (large wheat imports, building materials etc.). Your other neighbors will be happy to sell you their products for a mark up.

Freedom always has a price and debts go with it (no more SFRY loans to buy off albanian violence).

BTW, how much better was it for albanians under Enver Hoxa's regime than those in Kosovo? Seems like beggars also like to be choosers.
(Aleks, 12 August 2010 18:48)

Oh Yes. Humanitarian Serbia who gives those wheat products and building materials for free and do not get any money for that. How could we miss that? You are really believing the crap you're issued from emotional serb diaspora magazines.
The truth is that gradually those products are getting replaced.
In any case croatians and slovenians are buying all those companies in Serbia, so for shorter time than you can imagine there will be no serbian product made under serbian ownership.
As for beggars and choosers I would sugest you to read how Gasprom slaps the face of Tadic. That is the perfect example of your own. You must realize that in fact you do not have time and capacity to observe beggars and choosers elsewhere.
As for Kosovo prime minister Hyseni, many of his statements do not materialize, but at least the man has mature behaviour unlike childish Jeremic who changes his words every three days.

I don't particularly like Hyseni but at least this guy is not afraid to tell the truth; he's not lying about anything. There are promisses for new recognitions; just a question of weeks or months.
It is been over ten years now that serbian politicians hide the truth about Kosovo to its citizens. After every defeat they discover a new "briliant" idea to slow down more recognitions. What is their strategy now?No one knows, not even themselves. What surprises me more is that Serbia and serbians have always ignored the albanians in Kosovo as if they didn't exist.More surprising is that even at present they're doing the same thing, ignoring the albanians and the new reality of the present world.

He expressed his confidence that Kosovo and its allies will "win the political battle against Serbia and those who support it.“ According to him, this will happen at the United Nations General Assembly in the fall.

So now everyone is waiting for GA ruling? I thought you guys said that after ICJ opinion recognitions will flood in. Now you're saying that everyone is waiting to analyze ICJ opinion and to see what UN will say. You do like to change your story from time to time.

RE:

Albanian minister: I received promises

Sounds like former English foreign minister Neville Chamberlain holding up a worthless piece of paper from Hitler guaranteeing 'peace in out time" who already at that point in time moved into Austria and Czechoslovakia without firing a shot.

Meanwhile, France and Britain shamefully let their ally Czechoslavia be swallowed up by the Nazi's and Hungarians.

Regardless of how many recognitions Kosovo and Hyseni receive, the security council can still veto any resolution.

There is no "majic" number that some "Albanians" like to quote as there is nothing in the UN charter that says you are a country with 69-89-100-120 recognitions; none that I am aware of.

Kosovo will become less than Taiwan more than Abkazia, Northern Cyprus Kashmir,a rogue state.

"Now are telling us to change our leadership in order to start the negotiations. If you don't know the gonverment of Kosova today has been elected through free and fair elections, which in Serbia this is foreign word."

Which makes it even worse. Kosovo Albanians voting for former KLA "war heroes" instead of honourable civil politicians to be their leaders.

Serbia got rid of politicians from the past forming their government, fortunately. Though it looks like a lot of Serbs want to have their 'great' old leaders (or people with similar attitude and ideas) back.

The usual waffle by hiseni. How many times in the past have we seen the same statements?

The truth is the battle lines
between Serbs & Albanians over the status issue have already been established.
Countries which have refused to recogmise the illegal UDI will not do so in future. This is why Hiseni has returned from his talks empty handed.

Haseni's pseudo-posturing apart, the only way out of the present stalemate is the negotiating table.Unless the status of the "unsustainable statelet" is resolved it may well trigger the next conflict in the balkans.

This man is useless and desperate. I can just imagine him running down the corridors of the United Nations Headquarters in New York trying to pester UN ambassadors and they're trying their best to ignore him. He desperately needs replacing with someone who can do the required job. Hyseni is a joke!

"Kosovo will become less than Taiwan"

2 points:

Only 22 countries recognize Taiwan.

No one outside of China and Taiwan wonder about the question "Is Taiwan a country"

The truth is Mr. Hyseni that Kosovo will remain a frozen conflict coz it will never win an EU and UN membership.
You're MAMA USA and UK cannot convince everyone.

He expressed his confidence that Kosovo and its allies will "win the political battle against Serbia and those who support it.“ According to him, this will happen at the United Nations General Assembly in the fall.
==================
So now everyone is waiting for GA ruling? I thought you guys said that after ICJ opinion recognitions will flood in. Now you're saying that everyone is waiting to analyze ICJ opinion and to see what UN will say. You do like to change your story from time to time.

Did they each give him a box of chocolates and some roses and said "I'll call you" too?

Mirel,

"...Wake up Kosova is free from you and there is no need for Serbian help..."

Simples.
