Lebanese and Israeli troops have exchanged fire along their border in a battle, VOA reports.

The Israeli version: the fence is inside the border at the point where the shooting occurred, and the Israelis never crossed the border itself. (They also say they gave notice of what they planned to do, about the tree.) There's supposedly aerial photography to back up their claims. Not that that ever did the Georgians any good.
