"Through its approach, Serbia is not fanning the flames, but contributing to a peaceful and sober solution through dialogue, in which each side will get something and lose something. Serbia is, obviously, aware of the fact that perhaps two million Kosovo Albanians do not wish to accept Serbia's constitutional order," he said.

"However, the world must be aware of the fact that Kosovo Serbs do not wish to accept the sovereignty of the so-called state of Kosovo," noted Tadić.

--Really and what you gonna do about the Albanians in the Presheva Valley? The world mustn't be made aware of them? Or they don't matter; only the Serbs in N. Mitrovica matter? They should just accept Serbia's constitutional order while the N. Mitrovica Serbs shouldn't accept Kosova's on your direct orders? It is precisely because there are Albanians in the Presheva Valley and Serbs on the other side of the border that there will be no split or exchange of territories. These people will be the buffer zone. They will be the mirror upon how each side will act with its minorities. Smart move from the West. Better do this then deal with their split and then have to deal with the split of Bosnia and then the can of worms it might open in Macedonia. This way those in Presheva valley will be treated like those in N. Mitrovica. I also see you are insinuating partition Mr. Tadic. That is against your own constitution Mr. Tadic. Read it again sometime. You can't fool anyone into believing your insinuations. Just last week the Serb parliament through its resolution enhanced the illegality of the insinuations you are making.

"It is within that framework that a solution should be sought that would secure peace and development. In drafting the resolution, Serbia has honored the procedure agreed with the European Commission, but has hurried to submit it to the UN GA in order to avoid being overtaken by a resolution of Kosovo Albanians," the president was quoted as saying.

"Information was obtained that Kosovo Albanians intend to submit their own resolution to the UN GA and Serbia could not take the risk to be second, because if the first resolution is adopted, the second one does not come up for the vote," Tadić said.

-- This is a lie simply based on the facts below:
1. Kosova is not a member of the UN, hence it cannot pass any resolution in the UN's general assembly.

2. If it was the case that you indeed had the agreement from the EU commission and EU members then how come the EU is passing its own resolution which differs from Serbia's fundamentally?

"Serbia could not allow the possibility of its resolution not being discussed at all," he concluded.

-- Let's see how it will go. September is close.

"The insinuation that somebody could be tried based on the politics and not law in Serbia is completely incomprehensible to me and I see it both as a personal offense and offense to my country," Tadić told journalists at the Tara mountain, western Serbia.

"I would be satisfied if the ambassadors of the countries which are sending these messages would explain to their judicial institutions that Serbia is a country that observes the EU legal system and that it does not discriminate people on the grounds of their ethnicity or religion," Tadić concluded.

-- Funny guy. As if nobody in this world is aware that this things really do go on in Serbia or in the Balkans for that matter. Discrimination based on ethnicity and religion is what makes the Balkans what they are; it is after all where the term Balkanization comes from.

what utter contempt Serbs have.

they did send over a copy of the draft... to have the EU discover that Serbia had Already submitted it to the un..

this is how "EU partners" were "consulted"??

What was the purpose of this article, who does it aim to fool?

no doubt it is to much to hope that serbs would stop using propaganda against others... but when will Serbs stop accepting propaganda that their leadership aims at them?

EU partners were consulted on resolution.

Really! Why even bother calling them partners. I thought Russia, China, India were Serbia’s partners. Now those EU partners you consulted and allegedly were happy with your draft resolution, just happen to be writing another draft. I don’t understand that! The EU could have spared some and effort time by asking Jeremic for a copy and hand them in simultaneously.

Don´t waste time with resolutions guys! It will all come to a Partition/territory exchange! Of course after both sides finally see that there is no other alternative.

Serbia has only to maintain the status quo and the Albanians are dead in the “waters”. The EU/US and Albos want to have Serbia sign free movement of people and goods agreement so that the Albos can actually look for work elsewhere.
You people don’t recognize desperation at all. The US/EU alliance are sinking into the financial pit of doom faster than anyone wants to admit and if they don’t finish this Kosovo business before the fiscal situation becomes even worse. The situation is very bad.
Just as the so called Pristina government has offered “autonomy” to the Serbs in the north so will the US/EU offer “division” of Kosovo before the year is out.

Reading your comment one can not get any impression other than romantic crap from a diaspora Serb. Wishing the financial collapse of EU and US (which is empty wish) and thinking that Serbia with 10 billion euros in debt (money issued by EU and US countries) will survive is the least wish of naive.
As for leaving Kosovo in "dead waters" I have to disappoint you but Serbia does not have that capacity. The very fact that Serbia did not even dare to put a more substantial question to ICJ and especially putting the status of Kosovo in its draft of resolution tells you a lot.
There will be no division of Kosovo. Less than 10% of Kosovo population can never cause any division.
This is a result of looking at Serbia from the west where you diaspora serbs usually live and especially when one is looking at Serbia the same way like he/she looks at his/her own stable financial situation.

I'm glad to see the albanians so agitated. This can only be good news for the Serbs. How long will it be before they figure out how fake a victory the ICJ opinion actually is? Or will they only realize when their allies betray them???

Do I understand it correctly?
Tourists had to register in Serbia in 2008 within 48 hours just like in ex-communist countries 40-50 years ago? And all this just 2 years ago? How is it today?

Sure it must have been that they are bit def and you were whispering so they didn’t actually realised that you were asking for their opinion on the resolution.

You can be arrogant Mr Tadic since you know that in the end EU will not punish you at all. As a matter a fact you will go in the UN Gen Ass. and you will lose there heavily.

Then as carrot (since you will lose form an EU resolution) EU will even offer you a status of candidate- just as they gived you the visa liberalisation after the Kosova's independence.
