U.S. criticizes Serbia’s resolution

The U.S. embassy in Belgrade said that Serbia did not hold serious consultations before it submitted a draft Kosovo resolution to the UN General Assembly.

as I said it, Rick, there´s nothing to worry about.

Serbs will be united, that´s what they fear in the White House, since I think that the socalled ICJ-opinion is mainly aimed at the serbian public, in order to discourage the people, ...but, as I am convinced, and based on what I have seen and heard from Serbs whereever I have met them recently - that attempt has completely failed.

the US still haven´t got their lesson. "inat" is a word that they will have to swallow in the future.

we will prevail. that´s for sure. our day will come. it´s theirs to wait for it.

Who does the USA think it is? Serbia's father? Who does Great Britain think it is? Serbia's mother? Dear Old Serbia has its own mind and own free will and can submit its own draft request that it thinks is helpful, fair, and proper to the United Nations.

The Serbian people should stay the course because they don’t realise how close they are to victory. The statements by the US and EU only shows how desperate they are at finding a “solution” because time is ticking fast and their past advantage is slipping through their fingers.
The US/EU is incapable of doing anything. I guarantee you that if they could use military force they would without a doubt, but they can’t – their armies only exist on paper. NATO is for all purposes is a “dead man walking” that is kept “alive” at US insistence. The US/EO no longer have an economic advantage either. To quote Niall Ferguson, Harvard Professor of Economic History, “the US at the moment is in a worse situation than Greece. Public debt is now 66% of GDP” – this is going to 70% by end of year. On the question of the EU and Japan he stated “they are in a DIRE situation”.
Serbs stay together and stay the course and you will win.

Another imperial Anglo-American threat, hoping to silence opposition to their clandestine unitlateral chess game. Hopefully oneday, their dark wishes will be met with a checkmate from a larger power.

Their dark wishes have already been met with a larger power, Dragan. Why else would the people of manifest destiny turn super evil against their brothers and nature and become so hostile to Truth?

British Ambassador to Belgrade Stephen Wordsworth warned of possible problems regarding Serbia's Euro-Atlantic integrations.

I always knew that this British fella would get something right one of these days--and today that day has come.

"I think this has been a case of an "unilateral draft Kosovo resolution" - it surely is allowed by international law, because the opposite isn't mentioned anywhere ;-)
(Top, 30 July 2010 12:48) "

It's not fact that it was unilateral that's the problem so much as the way it was submitted: Serbia claimed to be working with the EU (which it also claims it wants to become a member of) when it rushed to submit its unilateral resolution to the UN and informed the EU only afterward of what it had done. Serbian politicians now say they had to prevent Albania from submitting some resolution of its own first, but what would Albania - who also desperately wants to join the EU club - have said that would not have been acceptable to the EU, that would have forestalled an EU-Serbia agreement? (The resolution was obviously "rushed" to the UN - it didn't even have the right UN Session in the title.)

Somebody panicked at the words "Albanian resolution" and made Serbian diplomats look foolish, that's all.

Maybe the simple general theory (which is obviously widespread in Serbia) that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" is not valid?

More like - if you want something supported in Serbia, just get the US and UK to oppose it. Seems to work a treat.

I'm just curious to know whether there are more sinister plans hidden within. We'll just have to wait and see.

Who cares about euro-atlantic integration when the future is eurasia..esp with Russia, China and India!!! The US is bankrupt - the deficit this year will surpass $1.3 trillion and in 2-3 decades minorities will be the majority - and they will not seek an Empire. Too much, "let the US and EU write your resolution for you, Serbia", US ambassador says. Is she taking too much Sljiva in the morning? Consult the US and EU on Serbia's resolution? Am I stupid, or would that not be Serbia's resolution then, but America's and Britain's. The bullies just cannot back off in their quest to steal someone else's land, to complete their nation building agenda. As for Serbia's resolution creating a problem for their EU integration, I say, GREAT! Who would want to join this fascistic union - where everything is done by force against weaker nations.

'Britain yesterday strongly criticized Belgrade for submitting its draft resolution without harmonizing the document with Brussels, and British Ambassador to Belgrade Stephen Wordsworth warned of possible problems regarding Serbia's Euro-Atlantic integrations.'

What a joke. These people clearly expect Serbs to be obedient boot lickers and run everything by them, including when and where we need to go to the bathroom, and how long we will be in there. I say give the middle finger to these people who still behave like imperialists, and take their precious EU and stick it where the sun doesn't shine.

UK & USA position "We didn't write it therefore it is unacceptable". WTF are these people on? Now Serbia needs to ask for permission?

Still, it is good news as they are against it. If they block it or veto it (as the US is the most frequent user of veto powers at the UN) then they will be exposed to the rest of the world for what they are (again), i.e. bullies, not to mention that it can be clearly argued that the West is for secession when it is in their favor which is a threat to the rest of the world.

Hopefully Serbia has already prepared the non-aligned movement, China et al prepared to block any one-sided EU-US draft, the EU draft having to be agreed unanimously (i.e. including those 5 eu member states that do not and will not recognize Kosovo).

Wow. More love from our Western friends eh!? Too bad Tadic's entire career & administration depend on the now obsolete Euro-autism of October 5th which we had no alternative to when Russia was weak. Serbia today is like Serbia in the reign of King Milan Obrenovic, who paid dearly for autistically pursuing his own redundant pro-Austria policy (despite their theft of BiH after Turkey gave it up) while ignoring Russia. History repeats itself.
