There will inevitably be new recognitions, but there hasn't been a stampede as the Americans said there would be. To me that signals that the ICJ decision has been taken with a pinch of salt, and many countries are still not convinced.

What do you think that governments around the world had this on top of their work agenda? It may be a critical issue for Serbia and Kosovo, but for almost every country outside Europe, Serbia and Kosovo are insignificant.
They are not in a rush, and if they do recognize, it’s going to be such a routine and mundane matter similar to dozens of routine issues that governments or foreign affairs ministries deal with everyday.
You can bet that for many of the delegations participating in the GA assembly works in September, the shopping in New York will be much more important than any Kosovo resolution.
