There will inevitably be new recognitions, but there hasn't been a stampede as the Americans said there would be. To me that signals that the ICJ decision has been taken with a pinch of salt, and many countries are still not convinced.

What do you think that governments around the world had this on top of their work agenda? It may be a critical issue for Serbia and Kosovo, but for almost every country outside Europe, Serbia and Kosovo are insignificant.

They are not in a rush, and if they do recognize, it’s going to be such a routine and mundane matter similar to dozens of routine issues that governments or foreign affairs ministries deal with everyday.

You can bet that for many of the delegations participating in the GA assembly works in September, the shopping in New York will be much more important than any Kosovo resolution.

"In 2-3 years they'll be officially recognized as a permanent black hole in the West's already thin-lined pocket--sucking on their children's milk and honey money.

Is the West's pocket such a big concern to you?

Time works for Kosovo. If it takes 2-3 more years to get a lot more recognitions so what?
(Joe, 30 July 2010 14:52)

Let's see, so far they are best recognized as other peoples land grabbers, narco traffickers, organ harvesters, highest birth rate in Europe, heirs to Atlantis,Lamuria, Pan and Darndendia.

Everybody read the snake's statement about 30 immediate recognitions after the ICJ verdict so stop lying. Isn't it embarrassing that the world is ignoring your claims of victory?
JohnBoy

Maybe you read it but I didn't. I am not Albanian and don't know about daily statements of K-Albanian ministers. I am referring to the American and Wstern-European media where there was no word about it.

I never read anywhere about a stampade. Anyway there is no urgency for those recognitions. Time works for Kosovo. If it takes 2-3 more years to get a lot more recognitions so what?

There are no new recognitions because the ICJ ruling solved nothing. It did not answer the question that is most important, "Did the minority Albanians in Kosovo have a right to secede from Serbia"? They (Albanians), or any minority anywhere, has the right to proclaim "We are independent", but that means and solves nothing. The fight between the US/EU and Serbia continues, it is power and money against will. Bite deeper, Vuk.

It's important to continue to pressure countries to not recognize the UDI especially since Kosovo's Albanians are writing letters begging for recognition. I stated this in a previous comment; one must play defense and make recognitions extremely difficult. It works. That's why the Albanians hate Vuk and others; they are like the old Energizer bunny who just keeps on working and working regardless what the Albanians do. Then again, work is a dirty word for Kosovo's Albanians:-)
