GOVERNMENT DEBT (Rank by NATO DEBT):
#1 United States | $ 8.059 trillion (US dollars)
#11 Greece | $ 240.5 billion (US dollars)
(urnrg, 29 July 2010 00:45)

I have 100 thousand dollars of debt; a fraction of the US governments debt. Oh, I feel so good...

But, wait a moment… my income is only 50 thousand per year. Damn, I’m still in a very bad shape.

Do you get it, Urnrg, that your statistics do not mean anything. The ones that matter are the following:

Debt as % of GDP (Rank among NATO countries):

# 2 Greece: 68%
# 16 United States: 54%

Someone pls remind me why is Greece in the EU and NATO again? Or rather WHAT IS IT? A state that started out to be a bilingual nation (Albanian and Greek) has somehow ended up being monoethnic (thank you population swap), and is one of the first modern countries to borrow and default, while bribing its restive population with cushy government jobs?

The whole country doesnt make sense...so we cant expect its foreign policy to be sensible

I have nothing against Greece except Cameria but I must point out...you can't compromise with your own people about solidarity cuts and yet you want to take the rains in the Balkans? Hmm, I don't think your ready Greece.

A country with the most failed economy in the west! Aims at taking a lead and offering a plan of negociations! Greece is lucky is still in EU, and if they fail to pay back everything they owe, they´ll be out joining Serbia as countries out of EU.

News from Serbia media mention the fact that Greece has soon to be recognized Kosovo, but in order to do so, is trying to ask for more bail out money from USA and EU. According to Yeremic media, decision is to be made before General Assembly meeting that is scheduled to take place on September 15.
