Sorry Sandro,

The UK and US want to change Dayton out of all recognition to the original text. They technically need the RS to agree to this and the RS won't. That is why Ashton of the EU is demanding a new OHR with 'sweeping powers'. The moment the RS is ignored by the west in any fundamental change to Dayton, then Dayton is technically dead and the RS is free to declare independence. The ICJ bascially said that any group of people can declare idependence because it is not illegal.

hat, my friends, is called 'laying the groundwork' for a future referendum and indevitable independence of Republika Srpska. Stick the anti-Serbi double standards right in the face of the US/Germany/UK!! Beautifuly said Mr. Dodik, and I am very glad that you have begun the process. Just don't forget to remind these immoral imperialists that Serbs also have the right to self determination, like they gave to all their lackie friends.
Cheers!!

I'm sorry to inform you, like all the other countless people on this website (no offense).

1. Don't use Bosnia as an example for Kosovo.

2. Serbia signed a peace treaty with Bosnia and Croatia, respecting the territorial integrity of Bosnia. The Nation of Serbia has also said on numerous times that they respect the territorial integrity of Bosnia.

If Republika Srspka wants to leave, "your" own President, Tadic sold you out.

Lets not forget Dayton.

That is all.

Trying to please the West will never produce results....the best use of Serbian energy is for the Serbs to unify and for us to pick ourselves up economically, politically, and socially.....and ignore the devisive covert and overt attempts by the West to induce us to "follow them".

Rick

Could not have said it any better. If anyone actually looks at the history of the Serbians we always fought on the right side and against tyranny, empirialism and fascism. For example, during world war two, Serbia was the only country who fought with the allies while the croats (ustashe), croats, bulgarians etc etc were all fighting with the Nazi Germans. You would think that these feats would have demonstrated the personality and characteristics of the serbian people. Though it seems that the West is keen on forgetting such historical events and are determined to tear the nation apart and demonize the Serbian people.

As a side note, I keep hearing this bizarre phrase that the West seems to think all the serbs have on their mind, "Greater Serbia". I'm sorry but why do all the albanians in Kosovo wave around a "Kosovo" flag along with an Albanian flag? This seems more like an idea of a Greater Albania to me.

Samo Sloga Srbina Spasava. I think it is time the serbs realize the weight of these words.

I live in Belgrade and I would trade Kosovo for R.Srpska to join Serbia. Since I have never been on Kosovo and majority of people here in Belgrade have never been in Kosovo, and would never go there because of fear that anybody could kill me and not be taken responsible. I think this would be fair to Serbia, Kosovo is filled with Albanians and R. Srpska is filled with Serbs. R. Srpska is alos economically stronger than Kosovo or the rest of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
(milos, 29 July 2010 09:56)

Another albanian troll? We are getting a lot of them on b92 recently.

If you are not, then why would you give up one when you have both? It is not as if Belgrade has control past the river Ibar. If that is what you want, then you'd better make some room in your place for the ethnically cleansed serbs from northern Mitrovica. You could give them a job too, take their children to school etc.

Dodik is nothing but a agent of Serbia in its pursuit of destroying the country of Bosnia i Herzegovina. If he was in another country he would be in jail or shipped off to his Belgrade Serbia with a stamp traitor to the country. Then I do not expect any thing good to come from the Serbs as aptly they have shown through the bloody 1990s. The 70% majority of Bosnians do not expect of any good from the minority Serbs in Bosnia. The only thing Dodik is sowing is his own destruction and of Srpska keep up the good work Dodo.

Believing that division of Kosovo with the north part belonging to Serbia is stupid solution and just tells me enough how much these two persons really care about Kosovo Serbs.

Dodik plays the nationalist-card to divert from the corruptions he is involved in. That will make sure that the Serbian-fascist younglings world-wide will hail him, while he fills his pockets.

Frustrated because you've not driven your panzer today? I've never seen a "Serbian-fascist younglings". Do I find them in Zagreb or Sarajevo or at your house?

Forcing through constitutional changes without RS consent kills Dayton because it ignores Dayton, hence all the threats against the RS because they need it to agree to the change, ergo a declaration of independence will be legal.

I think what Dodik is saying is when Bosnia tries to force through constitutional changes to get rid of Republika Srpska, as we all know the EU and US is planning, then Republika Sprska needs to be ready to declare independence, in the same way that Milosevic taking away Kosovo's autonomy was the beginning of the road to ultimately losing it.

Mr. Dodik is absolutely right in his comments. Serbs have been so demonized by the West that no matter what Serbs try to do now to obtain justice and fairness, it will simply fall on deaf ears. The old adage has worked- tell a lie a hundred times, and it becomes the "truth". Trying to please the West will never produce results....the best use of Serbian energy is for the Serbs to unify and for us to pick ourselves up economically, politically, and socially.....and ignore the devisive covert and overt attempts by the West to induce us to "follow them". I agree with the suggestions put forth by many that wish for Serbia to begin refusing diplomatic ties with countries who choose to recognize Kosovo's UDI. Put the "pressure" on these countries to choose between having diplomatic ties with Serbia (an established UN country) or with Kosovo (a bottomless economic pit)- but not with both. Serbia needs to be bold enough to start setting their own "rules"....we have already seen the "rules" that are being set by the ICJ, the EU, and the West- and none of those are, or have been good, for Serbia.

“Unfortunately, the appearance before the UN General Assembly will not have a better outcome. I believe that it will be an even bigger defeat, and after that you can do nothing,” said Dodik.

Slobodan Samardžić of Kustunica's party said the other day something similar
" Taking our case to the UN General assembly would be suicide because the Assembly would not pass a resolution that goes against ICJ".

Vuk Draskovic said few days ago Kosovo will join the U.N soon.

But I really recommend every Serb to read an article by Dinko Gruhonjić on e-novine titled "Krah Miloševićeve politike". I especially recommend it to those who continue to live in the parallel universe of " Kosovo je Serbia". It's a frank article about where Serbia stands in relation to Kosovo and the rest of the world.

I been wondering, Is it possible that the current government wants to commit political suicide when it comes to Kosovo? Perhaps they doing a favor to future governments so that they don't have to deal with Kosovo. They will exhaust all of their option now so that no Serb nationalist will ever be able to claim "Kosovo is Serbia", so Serbia will be able to focus on her problems.

Nothing else explains their behavior.

Trying to please the West will never produce results....the best use of Serbian energy is for the Serbs to unify and for us to pick ourselves up economically, politically, and socially.....and ignore the devisive covert and overt attempts by the West to induce us to "follow them".
