Milan, you say that he was probably attacked because of its homosexual look! It's quite dangerous to travel to Serbia if Serbs attack us because of our look.
This is an unfortunate event and I feel sorry for this man.
But what really stands out about this story is what is missing in the reporting of it. The man is a journalist and the most obvious motive for the attack probably can be found in the nature and description of his job. What stories has he covered, what opinions has he espoused, does he write about about crime, does he write about certain international issues? The lack of such important and easily researched facts in the reporting of this and similiar stories reveals something rotten about journalism in todays Serbia.
Perhaps the man was attacked because of his looks. Maybe the attackers thought he was a homosexual because of his long hair. But unfortuantly Serbias journalists do not give the people facts, they do not want Serbs to think for themselves or to come to conclusions based on facts which are easily avauilable to the journalists covering this and other stories.
So much in todays Serbia is contrived, Serbia needs to establish it own Al Jazeera.
