Constitutional Court abolishes media fines

The Constitutional Court of Serbia ruled that draconian money fines in Serbia's media law were unconstitutional.

Very good. They should have an independent panel that is NOT made up of representatives from the media to decide on such issues, i.e. one person at least with extensive media law experience, one with race and equality law experience, a media nominated person or maybe two as they would have to cover tv, radio & internet etc. The size fines should also be defined as being large enough to provide deterrence without fundamentally undermining the financial health of the enterprise. There's other stuff they can do to but this is a good start.
