Unfortunately these shrines will be vulnerable to theft and being damaged or destroyed again.
Amongst the Albanians and the Serb-hating "international community" things will be tense and imperiled.
Because of that I wish Russia would have donated more to things in Serbia or the RS parts where there aren't hardly any minority non-Serbs.

Fishta, tell your fellow Albanians to stop destroying Serbian churches, and then you won't have to be sarcastic about Russian gifts. Someone here mentioned that Albanians in Kosovo are cursed, that is true. They will never know peace. If you sleep with the devil, you will share the devil's bread.

I'm surprised nobody here has claimed that these were in fact albanian shrines. After all, over on Balkan Insight, official propaganda organ, there was an interesting article a few months back by and albanian 'historian' who claimed that all the orthodox churches were in fact built by the albanians! Sure, this would be a way of guaranteeing that they would not be destroyed by kosovo albanian hotheads once the ongoing full ethnic cleansing of non-albanian minorities from Kosovo is complete, but I do not think that there really are enough dumb people who would believe that.

As to the first comment, I can only second what the other commenter said about 'donations' being different from 'loans'. I wonder when Pristina will figure this one out...

How much did the us contribute for repairs to these shrines? Wait, ... my american brainwashing is trying to kick in .. It says the Russians are godless communists while the us respect freedom of religion. Whew, it's gone now and I'm ok.

Gjergi,
If read the article you would realize that this is a donation, not a loan. What the US/EU gives you albanians are loans, which means you have to pay them back, so in effect, they are giving you nothing.
This is a welcome gift from Russia, and I know the real reason you are upset - it's because the money will be used to rebuild what you have tried so hard to destroy - Serbian history and Serbian culture.

Gjergj Fishta,

Before you make any comment you should have asked yourself what was the reason that these shrines need repair. It is because you and other Kosovo Albanians cannot stand anything that is different from yourself. By destroying the Serbian cultural heritage in Kosovo you will still fail to remove the Serbian soul and history of Kosovo. But that is something you probably do not understand and never will. Just because of this you will never deserve Kosovo. You did not even fight for it. All you did was play victim and had some bunch of idiots fall for it. An independent Kosovo will be cursed for all those reasons.

Wow, whole 2 Million Dollars.
Russia’s generosity does not seem to have any boundaries.
Well, with 2milion dollars Serbia should have heaps left to invest in rebuilding road infrastructure in Vojvodina also.
Christmas came early springs to mind.
