In the first instance in order to go into a recession you have to have a real economy. Albanian is a SUBSITANCE economy at best and does not even close to Serbia despite the fact that Serbia was until recently under international sanctions since the 1990s. There is only construction of apartments in Tirana and some along the seaside while the rest of Albania is powered by horse power in the true sense of the word.

With the exception of Asia, the rest of the world is going down the proverbial toilet, but it seems that Albania is “recording economic growth” – what does it sell? Here is a tip; the real estate industry is going to go through a correction soon.

Serbia has the lowest wages in the region because the EU is not propping up its economy like you have in the other Balkan countries and that includes Slovenia. However, at the same time numerous industries have opened up in the last 2 years such as Fiat in Kragujevac. Low wages means that manufacturing jobs open up and that’s how you build your economy, just ask the Chinese.

Borrowing money is the norm in world economics just ask the US – its borrowed a lot over the years to sustain its economy or perhaps they should ask Albania for a few pointers on that one. IMF money now comes from Japan and China but mostly from China. China had to contribute money otherwise no more IMF – they are on the board of the IMF.

The only people that don’t know the true situation about the US are the diehards that refuse to believe in reality. Did anyone read in the Economist or any other “reputable” western publication that in 2007 onwards the world was going into a global meltdown due to the subprime mortgage debacle? I did not. Yes, there were a few books written about an impending global crises, which were all rubbished as pessimistic.

Oh, China was not forced to revalue the Yuan as you claim. Don’t believe what the US tells its people because that’s for internal consumption only. China OWNS 40% of the US so China does what is best for China not the US. The Chinese currency will take over as the international money from the US.

The Albanians are living in poverty that would rival Somalia and every now and then the Thaci thugs have to distract people from their existing living conditions by announcing an operation here or there.

Business as usual. Kosovo continues to live in squaller and is not moving anywhere without Belgrade’s approval.
(sj, 20 July 2010 00:17)

Well notwithstanding the fact that Albania didn't even face recession during the last 2 years of global crisis, contrary to Serbia which faced bankruptcy and owes its survival to the american IMF money (I don't even remember Somalia having resorted to IMF lol), it's now recording economic growth that Serbia could only dream on within its debt hole and depression with a dinar worth toilet paper...(PS: was it not a B92 article that stated a few weeks ago that serbian wages were the lowest in the region ?? of course it was)

ANd as to the USA, sorry about your frustration but they're are not even close to be down...I think you're even condemned to die watching them ate the first rank...truly sad for you,Chinese who were FORCED to reevaluate their currency last month know what I'm talking about....

The US has run out of money and time. It should have done this in 1999 or soon thereafter but were too busy salivating over their so called victory against the Serbs which then led them to invade Afghanistan and Iraq. So what the Serbs started the Afghans and Iraqis are finishing off.

As I have said numerous times all this is “smoke and mirrors”. It’s a continuous trick on the poor local Albanians and what is even worse their fellow supporters, mostly from the US, believe every word that is said on the subject.

Sure but the problem is Serbs make less then 6% of the entire Kosovar population. Perhaps when Greece let Turks take over their security, we might consider with the Serbs.

Btw, glad to see you're still alive and more Serb then ordinary Goran. :)

Peperoni,
how do you conclude this 50-50 figure, and since you do so, why not make it 50-50 for the rest of Kosovo as well!
I mean Serbia will be more than eager to help in that aspect :)

I think this issue has become a bit annoyance, seriously. For one, its not EULEX who will send them, secondly last week our Interior Minister made it clear the reason EULEX say this is because they fear what will happend to them in north, completly understanble since their mission in Kosovo is more of a vacation. What should be done is send in a 50/50 Albanian-Serb police officers and not special units if they arent needed. Lets not put fear to locals, this aint the 90s.

See what happens when you speak before consulting with the EU and UN. You end up eating Muti!!!! Next time the PM and his staff will consult with EULEX before threating to send Special Forces to the North.
(HE WHO SPEAKS THE TRUTH, 19 July 2010 12:49)

I think we should wait and see. Eulex police are not unter Ministry of Internal Affairs, and I haven't heared anyone saying that we will send EULEX Speacial Police Unit, but rather Kosovo one.

huh?

Well, they could try. There´s a lot of hot air and threaths coming from the lame duck €USSR, as usual mostly echoing the US who want the €Urocrats to pay and do their agenda for them, but when it comes to reality and threaths dont work, the cowards retire...

The Snake (Thaqi) lies again. What else is news? There can be no judges imposed in N. Mitrovica without Belgrade's approval. Albanians are not welcome there. Thaqi's special forces are what, the 2nd Calvary Donkey Division? Give me a break. They (Albanians) are nothing without the US/EU, nothing.
