Who is to be disillusioned by this analysis. Has Serbia violated the loan arrangement with IMF and does it abide by the regulations formerly signed? Has Greek crisis an impact on Serbian economy. Serbia lags in economic and public reforms, it has low monetary value of dinar, great unemployment, lack of foreign investments, a promise to increase salaries and pension with GDP growth of 1,5 percent. What are the steps that the Government undertakes to alleviate the situation. It is a slow and tepid response by the government. The government does not abide by the passed laws and high officials bend the rules. They squander funds unreasonably. The government is ready to grant power-plant workers and Telecom an increase of wages which will provoke a backlash against such an act. No sooner the power-plant workers and in Telecom welcome the decision to have the wages raised than the workers from another public-sector firm will make an urgent request to have also their wages raised. Soon there will be a request for salary increase from teachers, doctors, policemen and pensioners whose salaries are on a freeze.
That will cause major economic problems.
