Read your link. And seems to me that the reality is that the EU ia scared stiff that Serbia will resolutely defend her rights at the UN and in the process caused unbearble embarrassment to the major EU members over their less than honest dealings with Belgrade. So much so that they are now, if your link is credible, resorting to a carrot and stick approach.

Actually more like a false carrot (ie. surrender Kosovo and London, Paris and Berlin will deign to allow you to advance one tiny step towards the EU, with no ultimate guarantee of membership of course) and a big stick (ie. no EU entry hope for Serbia ever if she dares to expose before the UN the EU's double dealings with her). Seems to me more like desperation on the part of the major Eu countries. And they forgot one thing -- the EU's attractiveness has really taken a beating in recent times -- this must surely be obvious to everyone else including the Serbians. Except perhaps for Tadic himself who got elected on the platform of EU membership goal for Serbia at the time when the EU seemed like a financial paradise.
