David Petraeus is an academic not a soldier. He has not served on any frontline wars and his only injuries other than a paper cuts relate to an incident in early in his military career where he was hospitalised.

This man has more medals that a North Korean General and his greatest achievement was the reduction of violence in Iraq. The US military surge had nothing to do with the reduced number of bombings because it can all be traced back to bribing the local Sunni tribal leaders. Gee it took someone with a PhD to work this one out?

For those that still don’t follow it was a smoke and mirrors trick – quietly he bribed the locals while the surge appeared to be working – all for US consumption and a good reason to leave after “winning” the war. Well this has now faltered and we are back to the previous numbers of bombings but the western free media just don’t report it anymore.
