"WAZ was not good and transparent investor"

Economy Minister Mlađan Dinkić says that Germany's WAZ Media Group "was not a good investor in Serbia".

Alex you are wrong. WAZ-Mediengruppe is statutory obliged to favour a free press with an independent editorial board. The Germans cannot be expected to finance a state propaganda paper, eg Politika that used to say what Milosevic wanted and now follows Tadic. Thats no progress and comercially bad. A paper that claims that all "rotten" trees have to be cut is not healthy itself. The Germans retreat but I hope that there is someone with money favouring free press that can take over! A free press criticizing any Government is what foreign investors want mr Dinkic.

Yes, as long as the Russians can be sure of having their way in Serbia and Montenegro, forget about the rest...

There is nothing particularly transparent about this story though the squealing from the German side seems to be the equivalent of 'doing a Klinsmann' (i.e. the former german footballer who had the habit of diving to the ground on the slightest touch so that he could claim a foul.).
