Why is Tadic cracking a big smile with Gul, knowing very well that Turkey is a friend of Kosova/o and one of the first countries to recognize it??? TADIC AND HIS CRONIES HAVE NO SHAME.

And you haven't got a clue as to what a civil war is.
It is irrelevant how many different ethnic groups live in a country and a war breaks out between them it is still considered a civil war, for they are all in the SAME COUNTRY. Do you not see that?
Was Kosovo a separate country back in 1999?

To avoid further embarassement please find out facts before you post.

that serbia continues to look upon kosovo and wave about a constitution written by a madaman and rant about delusions of authority, then serbia does not have any interest at all in peace, stability, social justice, regional cooperation, or good-neighborly relations.

more of the same hypocrisy and duplicity, why would anyone want to bring such a snake in the grass into the fold.

Why is it that Tadic and the rest of his fanatics always, in ever meeting with other countries, that they will not recognize Kosovo. We already know that, he doesn't have to always spew the same. However, the reality is that he will never have control of Kosovo; kosovo is a done deal, the people will never be under them.

... Serbia will “never, under any circumstances, implicitly or explicitly, recognize the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo (UDI), and that the Serbian people are united on this fundamental point”.

Tadic hasn't got the guts to tell the truth to Serbian people when it comes to Kosovo.

Tadic didn't say what was his intention to do should the ICJ gives its Opionion in favour of Kosovo's independence?

I personally know the answer. "It was a Serbian political joke", "the ICJ Opinion was taken under USA pressure...." and so on so on. In other words all a waste of time to stop further Kosovo recognitions. Just wandering how many of the participant were endorsing Serbia's view on Kosovo?

Kosova-USUK,

There is a difference between ethnicity and nationalist. You are not an Albanian citizen, nor an American citizen for that matter. Your ethnicity may be Albanian, but you nationality is not. Serbia and Kosovo were the same country; therefore, this was a civil war.

Some information from wikipedia:

"A civil war is a war between organized groups within the same nation state,[1] or, less commonly, between two countries created from a formerly-united nation-state"

As everyone can see, that definition perfectly applies to all the ugly wars within former YU, may it be in Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia/Kosovo.

I don't know what Tadic talking to the Turkish president has to do with the EU, but Turkey most certainly has and will not have anything to do with it.

I think that the fact that they have been a candidate member for 11 years now says a lot. Since Turkey applied for membership 23 years ago, many, many other European countries have already entered the EU, starting with the entire membership procedure considerably later than Turkey has.

I think this is should be clear enough that the EU does not want Turkey in its ranks. A few outspoken politicians like Geert Wilders have mentioned it already, but it is no secret that just about every single prominent politician of the EU (including the leadership of the EU's largest and most powerful countries, France and Germany) is against it.

The EU is a union of European states. Europe's values are based around Christian values and democracy (first conceived in Greece), which are alien to Turkey. Turkey is a muslim state, concepts like democracy are foreign to them and the military has too much influence.

I won't even mention Cyprus, but this alone is reason enough for Turkey to be kept far away from the EU.

Their civilization belongs to that of the Middle East, North Africa and other parts of South-West Asia. They are not European mentally, culturally or racially.

Though indeed, Tadic is right, the EU should be direct. They should be just as direct with Turkey as they were with Morocco's membership bid, ie. you do not belong in Europe. Goodbye, Turkey.

Frankly, the only countries I still see membership open to in the long run (because this economic crisis is not eternal and will subside), are obviously Croatia, Macedonia and Iceland in the first wave, Serbia, Albania (despite that the population is majority muslim, they have a genuine idea of the term "secularism" and the government is actually trying to instil European values and norms alongside the conditions that have been set) and Montenegro will be the next wave and after them, Bosnia & Herzegovina (thankfully and hopefully always majority Christian still) and possibly Kosovo (if the other countries recognize it that don't, but they are still far, far away).

Also, I believe their doors will always be open to Norway, Switzerland and the microstates, since they are already heavily integrated and would have no problem in adjusting to membership.

I don't see anyone else joining ever, not the Eastern European states (they indeed belong to Russia and together with Russia, should form a strong Eastern partnership for the EU as trade partners and even military allies, which will ensure mineral resources and security) and definitely not muslim countries like Turkey or Azerbaijan, as they are foreign to Europe. Turkey is proof enough that no matter how much they try, they will never become members, just that the EU does not have the balls to say so out of fears of being PC incorrect, which is the stupidest craze to have hit the European continent since communism, alongside multiculturalism and mass immigration.

While I am against the EU, I am a realist who knows it is something that cannot be avoided, all I hope one day for is a great overhaul of its ideology and policy, then it could actually work.

He added that only in that way can "we close the chapter for good on an ugly decade that was characterized by civil war, ethnic cleansing, refugees and IDP".

"civil war"

wow, does Mr. tadic know the difference betweena civil war and A war?
Civil war is when people of same nationality are fighting amongst each other, but when one nationality is fighting another different nationality is called a WAR between two nations.

Why is Tadic cracking a big smile with Gul, knowing very well that Turkey is a friend of Kosova/o and one of the first countries to recognize it??? TADIC AND HIS CRONIES HAVE NO SHAME.
