"They sure era the pants from the day Kosova/o Declared its Independence. Before that, UNMIK SRSG wore the pants."
(Kosova-USA)

-- So now that we have established through the most scientific analysis available to B92 that Thaci and Sejdiu "wear the pants" in Kosovo, I guess we can place responsibility for the failing degree of rule of law, democracy and respect of human and minority rights on their shoulders. I mean at best they're just as horrid as everyone else running Kosovo, which means little has changed since 1999 and 2008. At worst (and remember they have the support of the Free World behind them with access to tons of money and powerful countries pulling for them in diplomatic circles), they're two of the most inept people to ever run a country.

If you want to argue that Thaci and Sejdiu wear the pants in this case, I'm game for that.

"Where is UNMIK nowdays? What fucntion does UNMIK has in Kosova/o? Does UNMIK has any power to overturn any resolution approved by Kosova/o Parlament?, etc..."
(Kosova-USA)

-- Well if power ultimately falls to Pristina, I guess we can stop blaming international organizations for Kosovo's decade of social, economic, and political mismangement and lay responsibility squarely on the K-Albanian leadership. Or lack of leadership.

If you want to argue that Thaci and Sejdiu wear the pants in this case, I'm game for that.

Our regular with his outbursts of nonsensity strikes again!

I am sure that you were there, to witness Jerzy Buzek and other members of EU parliament "tell" those "2-3" (LOL. Epic fail - axctually, it is 5) teams to "shut up". Maybe you were for a while, but then you woke up in the middle of the night and realised that it was just a dream, but because there was another rolling blackout in downtown Pristina, you were unable to turn on the light and just make sure. ;)

northampton

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, we all knew that your written English was terrible, but your comprehension was also?

What part of "The document outlined a NEUTRAL stand on Kosovo's status, but also pointed to a need for greater engagement by the Council of Europe (CoE) in resolving the problems regarding the rule of law, democracy and respect of human and minority rights, said reports" is so hard for you to understand?

Try an online English-Albanian translator if this is too difficult for you.

Do you have the slightest idea as to why they would take a neutral stance? Because the EU does not want to create conflict with either side by taking sides, hence the reason why the EU recognizes Kosovo within the framework of UNSCR1244, but gave individual countries the opportunity to decide on whether to recognize Kosovo or not.

So essentially, what has changed since the Troika talks, other than some countries recognizing Kosovo's independence?

Still no solution, and while I think some EU members were premature with their recognition of Kosovo before a long lasting solution was found, I at least applaud them for trying to find a compromise on technical issues in order to improve relations, thus facilitating a bigger possibility of a final solution compromise.

Long story short, the UK will not pressure Serbia to recognize Kosovo, no matter how hard you pray for it. Or did you also wake up like Kosova-USA in downtown Pristina with no lights after a "sweet dream"? ;)

Mike

Perhaps CoE needs to include "Mitrovica" along with Belgrade and Pristina. If they're going to take a neutral stance, which I applaud them on, they need to realize that K-Serbs have just as much of a representative government as Pristina up north. Pragmatic solutions need to start with pragmatic acknowledgements of politics on the ground.

But regardless of that, the acknowledgement that problems regarding the rule of law, democracy and respect of human and minority rights remain endemic problems in Kosovo-UNMIK despite 10 years of international aid should be a wakeup call that either international forces are not doing their designated job, or the K-Albanian leadership is no better than Milosevic.

don't you worry to much about spelling errors.

I don't worry about it at all. I realise some struggle with speaking and writing English and there's no problem with that. I just pointed out a coincidence between you and northampton. "forgot" or "forgat" - one just has an "a" where an "o" belongs. It's a mistake much like some make when spelling Kosovo. Some put an "a" where an "o" belongs.

Did you realise both you and Kosovo-USA spell forgot as "forgat". What a coincidence.
(Zoran, 23 June 2010 11:34)

don't you worry to much about spelling errors. they are rather typing errors, since most of us are bussy working and unlike some others that have nothing better to do.

Getting back to the subject; 2-3 EU countries that have not recognized Kosova/o, started talking about the status, but very quickly they were made to shut up by other members of said parlament.

What a pointless resolution full of european beaurocracy with no concrete effect only serving the purpose of ticking some box and displayin the incapability of Europe of ever having a meaningfull unified stance on any issue.
