The problem is Lenard is that if every Bosnian citizen wanted to live together in some democratic rule of law society and it was the Serb fascists like Dodik and Tadic preventing this than fair enough.
But internally they don't.There is no unity. There is no common view of a state. There is no trust. There is no real future. This Bosnia you talk about existed in a greater form in Yugoslavia and that was destroyed internally and externally.
The West didn't insist as they do Bosnia on saving it.They gave the Croats independence , Slovenia ,Macedonia, and they gave statehood to Bosnia which was a mini yugoslavia. You can rail about the Serbs but you can't get them to believe in a country nor have any affinity with this if they don't want it.Get rid of Dodik?I am sure the West would love to do that .Get someone pliant in? Scrap Dayton the entities? But at the end there is no unity and you can't create it.The Croats equally have no loyality to this state.
Yugoslavia was a multi cultural society which collapsed. It collapsed in 1941 lack a pack of cards and led to 4 years of bloody reacial conflict. It was brutally kept together under Broz and when his dictatorship died it started to fragment. Why didn't they(The West) keep it together like they seem to want to with Bosnia?
Lenard the truth is that states with no internal unity cannot be..Look at history.Look at Yugoslavia.

Dear Leonard,

Such meetings are done all over europe every day. The same is true when the US President meets the media.

There are plenty of tame and favored journalists who cover the EU because it is an easy beat especially if you know how to scratch the right backs.

It is certainly better than having someone like Ganic endlessly squealing about the Serbs on every public occasion he gets. If relations can get better with Croatia, why not Bosnia (i.e. the one without FoA - Fans of Izetbegovic?).

As is always the case, it is actions, not words that count.

Wow, adults in the room. Good to see 'normal' relations between Serbia and Bosnia.
(Aleks, 18 June 2010 17:41) Yes Aleks your rite their were some journalist in the room. Just to bad they did not get to ask any tough questions. Then again it was a photo shoot for the EU scrap book and followed up by some nonsensical dribble coming out of the EU bound simpleton politicians. "The situation in Bosnia is dependent on good relations in the whole region, because every country in the region wants a future in the EU. We will all need to fulfill EU's requirements and one of those requirements is good regional cooperation. Just more of the moronically blind politically correct EU bound politicians from the Balkans and how to get their self serving pleasantry in to the EU. Thats all folks nothing to see here move on to the one trick pony exhibit.

As you know it was imposed on Bosnia.

Lenard

It was the Serbs in Bosnia who were bombed into submission not the muslims. Why do you blame Serbs in Bosnia for something the Americans, Russians and the EU were supporters off, namely RS?

"Imposed solutions are not acceptable for Serbia and we encourage democratic dialogue in Bosnia," Tadic said, Excellent then you are for the abolishment of the entitys especially of Srpska. As you know it was imposed on Bosnia. We encourage democratic dialogue in Bosnia," Tadic said, One vote for every Bosnian citizen and this entity nonsensical division will be in the dustbin of history like a bad nightmare. Then again who are we trying to fool Boris T. just a lot of double talk and the usual hypocrite saying of yours. With the divisive status quo maintaining that you are so in favour of keeping festering promoting and encouraging it. Looks like you and Dodik are the main culprits in obstructionist to peace an reconciliation in the country of Bosnia i Herzegovina what is new.
