Didn't see the Spain game (I work). Did they lose on a handball penalty shot? Not surprised about South Africa - even Serbia beat them 0-3 or something like that. Sorry to barge in on the Sports page - B92 refuses to post my political comments because the truth hurts.

Lets face it the football quality hasn't been the best so far.

And it is very disappointing to see the hosts beaten like that. The World Cup always loses a little of its magic when the hosts crash and burn like that.

As for Serbia, there is no choice now but to beat Germany. If anybody can plan it Antic can, but do we have the players to put the goals in?

Nothing less than a huge effort against Germany will satisfy fans of Serbia.

As far as I know it was 30 to 1.... and surely some burned their fingers :))

For N.KOrean win against Brazil some bookies gave 30 or more.Swiss victory was between 9 and 15 at 5 or 6 online betting companies I checked yesterday.

You can argue about the noise and the quality the games in general, but the fact that the (presumably) best teams fail is great. Spain was highly overrated and got the answer by Hitzfeld's Switzerland. As I expected, only Germany and the Netherlands perform well and I guess that this will be the finals.

I agree with you, John C. I find myself cheering for the underdogs more often than not. But, for this reason I hope the finalists are not Germany or Holland...

Switzerland won yesterday, they have just made it harder for favourites and I bet the bookies aren't happy either.

Indeed we do not have on the paper the best team and our pre-campaign was relatively bad....
We however have an excellent coach who proved one more time, if necessary, that he is one of the best!

Congrats to my team for the heart and discipline they have shown during the all game and let us vib a bit further :)

I feel kind of sorry for South Africa, but Uruguay scored some great goals. I just think it was rather sad to see some South Africans walk out at 80 minutes. They were really looking forwards to this match and the competition as a whole.

Spain and Switzerland on the hand, great result. I love it when a team who isn't meant to win, wins the match. The Swiss almost scored another goal too. I'm so glad Switzerland won yesterday, they have just made it harder for favourites and I bet the bookies aren't happy either.
