It would not matter if 100 Ratko Mladic's were arrested and sent to the Hague, Holland will always remain guilty of their participation, or lack of, in Srebrenica. (svojgazda, 11 June 2010 17:01)

This is so true...! Nowadays the Dutch are champions in having opinions about everything, even when they know nothing about the subject. It surprises me that this article suggest that the it might be important for Serbia what Wilders thinks, because it is not. The chances his party will be part of the government are very small, since few other parties are interested in a coalition with them. What's more; Wilders is against almost everything and after Moslems, it's Europe that he has the biggest problems with. The people who voted for him are in general non-educated ignorant people who are just smart enough to understand his empty rethorics, wich is the biggest danger of this whole thing. But to be honest, I don't see why Serbia is still working so hard to become a part of EU, since the future of it is quite uncertain, to say the least. The Euro seems to have the best years behind and after Greece there is much more to come. I think it would be wise to have a plan B, because EU could be a dead end.

He is more against Albania joining than he is Serbia, you know? He is an islamophobe, which means that he is against you too.

BTW Northampton, stop with pretending to be a Brit, OK? It's getting lame.

I can see you are balance in your opinion. So many countries have been positive about Serbias EU perspectives and when one racist dutchman says otherwise he suddenly represents everyone.
If Serbs will have a hard time entering the EU then let's not speak about the albanians. You don't even have white schengen and you dear to say anything.
If you think Albania is about to join then think again:

For all Wilder's spoken wisdom against the Islamification of Europe, it sounds like he places an exception for this concern where the interests of Serbia are concerned. Could it be that it is because Wilders is Catholic? Would he compromise the truth of Serbian history, recent or otherwise in the interest of Serbia's Catholic neighbors and where Islam is wedge against non-Catholic countries?

It is really hard to see what is going on with this article alone.

Wider's poor excuse is all about Mladic. Let the coward come out of his hole and face justice,in which case Wilders, who basically is a racist, will have to use an other excuse to block Serbia.
Why block Serbia? Well, since the Netherlands are net contributors to the EU he is fed up and tired of Balkan Nations using the EU as a cash cow and therefore Dutch money. His election into parliament is a dark day for Holland, for the EU and for Serbia. However maybe now Mladic will finally be brought to justice. The pressure is on Serbia once again.

"What are his motives for blocking Serbian entry to the EU? Why doesn't B92 research its stories a little more thoroughly?"
(Michael Thomas, 11 June 2010 13:32)

It's clearly stated that the inability of Serbia to finally arrest Mladic, the Srebenica slaughterer, is his motive to oppose an EU access of Serbia.

"It would not matter if 100 Ratko Mladic's were arrested and sent to the Hague, Holland will always remain guilty of their participation, or lack of, in Srebrenica."
(svojgazda, 11 June 2010 17:01)

Participation? Ridiculous! The only ones that are guilty is Mladic (the one who some idiots still consider a hero) and all his adjutants and helpers who commited these horrible murders. The Dutch soldiers were simply not allowed to fight by the UN mandate they had. And there have been even rumours that they asked for military air assistance, but France opposed it.

It would not matter if 100 Ratko Mladic's were arrested and sent to the Hague, Holland will always remain guilty of their participation, or lack of, in Srebrenica. By blocking Serbia's EU aspirations, Holland thinks it will absolve itself of this crime, it will never. The Dutch troops played sissy games, and looked the other way in Bosnia, and Mladic's arrest is a poor attempt to clear their collective conscience. As far as the EU is concerned, why would any sovereign nation want to join this decaying, dysfunctional, and self-serving union? Stay independent and free Serbia, roll up your sleeves as only you know how, and the future will be good. It (Serbia) must choose its friends carefully, and the EU is not one of them.

If this story proves to be true then it will be a travesty. This highlights the kind of gross imbalance that Serbia is facing. Whilst they can be subjected to an illegal land grab which is declared acceptable when only a minority of countries have recognised and it is yet to be decided upon in a court, they can potentially have their EU aspirations dashed by the narrow minded and short sighted approach of one right wing politician. In the face of such imbalance, Serbia should be applauded for her continued diplomatic and principled stance. I am convinced that patience and a strong self belief, things that Serbia appear to have an abundance of, will eventually bear fruit. This whole situation is beginning to make a mockery of international law and is doing much damage to the image of the EU in terms of it being an institution that countries should aspire to join. Please everyone, redress this imbalance and start acting in a fair way to all.
