Tadic, have some self respect and tell your Macedonian 'friend' that Serbia no longer recognizes his country under the name 'Macedonia', but recognizes them as FYROM.
After they recognized the fake/illegal/immoral 'state' of Kosovo, it is the least you could do. It is also a move the Greeks would applaud, and they are much better friends than the FYROMians ever were.

"I agree with PRO-SERBIA. Tadic is embarrassing himself and the nation he represents. Macedonia and Montenegro are soulless nations and can not be trusted. Strenghen ties with countris that follow international law and are against the desecration of Serbias cultural herritage and territory in Kosovo.

MikeC? I am a little surprised to see this response. I think President Tadic is working with what little he has at his disposal in trying to placate everyone. I doubt few people believe that a compromise is the only solution. Likewise, I doubt that few believe that Kosovo can simply declare themselves independent and expect to get away with it. Like Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia are wrestling with trying to preserve their history and at the same time improve their countries and integrate into the international arena. (You will note I did NOT say integrate into the EU, though that is undoubtedly their goal.) The future of Serbia will be guided by how well they integrate with the rest of the world. Ultimately compromises will need to be made. It is the lack of compromise that I have seen from Kosovo that disturbs me. That is not called negotiation. In fact, in labor union talks in the US it is considered illegal no mater how strong you think your arguments are.....

As much as we disagree with the Macedonian position regarding Kosovo, they are our neighbors which requires a certain level of respect.

I don't see it as picking Macedonia over Greece, far from it. Greece and Serbia share an unbreakable bond, but we need to keep friends close, and enemies closer.

Mr. Tadic! Please tell to the Serbian people on what is the sense of meeting the Macedonians and Montenegrins since they stabbed Serbia at the back by recognizing the Kosovo UDI. Greece is more reliable partner than them.

I could not disagree more. Many countries were arm twisted, corerced or bribed into recognising Pristina's UDD. In Macedonia's case it was under duress from its irredentist ethnic Albanian minority threatening further violence and instability if they did not get their way.

Serbia is conducting a pragmatic policy of consolidatinig its position in the Balkans and having friendly relations.

Then again its easy for the diaspora to play the keyboard warrior and indulge in the chest beating.

Sheridan,

Would you please enlighten us on your country of origin. You suddenly popped up on this site and with high English language skills seem to take an extreme pro-Albanian and anti-Serbian view. I am just curious about your motivations and goals.

So, the Rep. of Serbia meets the Rep. of Macedonia. I'm sure that the Greeks will again cheer their friendship to Serbia. Can't wait to see when Athens will bring that "friendship" into an equilibrium when recognizing Kosovo.
