Ex-Japan envoy is honorary Belgrader

The Belgrade City Assembly decided on Monday to make former Japanese Ambassador to Serbia Tadashi Nagai an honorary citizen.

Shows that just because a country recognizes Kosovo, they do not want Serbia to fail.
Most want a happy and prosperous life for both Serbia and Kosovo but realize that it will never happen if they are not separate.

The fact is that the government of Japan has actually given Serbia more aid than most countries since 2000, including many yellow buses Belgraders are familiar with.

This is particularly impressive considering aid is usually tied to some business deal, as there are not many Japanese companies operating to any serious degree in Serbia.

Most countries give aid for favours /compliance. Japan has asked for little in return from Serbia.
