I hope Turkey initiates Article 5 of NATO; An attack against one is an attack against all.

A tiny Ankara Pashalik around Ankara sounds a just solution for me, most of the turkey-bird going to Greece, Bulgaria, Syria, Kurds, Armenians, Georgians. What a great day would be it for Cyprus, too.

Side-effect: "Turkey in EU" question would be solved at last.

Turkey is calling an emergency NATO meeting. Israel attacked a Turkish ship and killed and arrested many Turkish civilians as well as arresting many other civilians from NATO countries including 40 British citizens, all of whom were in International waters at the time of the Israeli attack. I hope Turkey initiates Article 5 of NATO; An attack against one is an attack against all.

Also good point.
Turkey is hardly in any position to criticize anybody when it comes to hostility. In fact, Israel and Turkey are two peas in a pot, so I am surprized that there were no words of encouragement from Ahmet.

Chill out, Ahmet, let's allow the dust to settle before pointing your evil finger at Israel. The "humanitarians" were asked to have their cargo inspected at an Israeli port, I see that as an appropriate request, considering the cargo was intended for its sworn enemy. If there was nothing to hide in this cargo, why would these "humanitarians" object - an instead fight with Israeli soldiers? The Trojan Horse can take the shape of a ship, can it not?

Isolate and kill the Kurds, but try and force humanitarian aid to enemies of Israel - this is the helping hand of Turkey. This aid was more of a show, with reporters and cameramen aboard, to gain sympathy for the Palestinians, and how humanitarian the Turks are, please! If there was nothing to hide, allow the Israelis to inspect the cargo, and lives would have been saved. Why would these so-called humanitarians clash with soldiers, if they are on a peace mission to deliver aid? Something smells foul, don't you agree, Ahmet?

Israel's staunch ally, the United States, said it was "deeply disturbed" by the violence and regretted the loss of life. But Deputy UN Ambassador Alejandro Wolff also appeared to criticize the protesters, saying that there are other mechanisms for delivering aid to Gaza and that direct delivery by sea was neither "appropriate nor responsible" under the circumstances.

This statement just confirms that any UN investigation on the incident or any resolution will be null and void because it will be vetoed by the US.

Nevertheless, the latest incident also confirms that Israel has lost the goodwill and benefit of the doubt of many people in the west that was enjoying since the second world war.

This loss of international goodwill will have long lasting consequences on Israel's survival.

Due to the strength of the jewish lobby in America, Israel has nothing to worry about. They could have even sunk the ship and nobody would bat an eyelid with the power that the US holds in world politics.

But no, only North Korea should be "punished" as per Hilary Rodham Clinton, no?

I wont be surprised if the next humanitarian flotilla is a naval confrontation. Escorted by Turkish naval ships with neighbouring Muslim navies joining in. Their will be sides to chose it just might rupture NATO also unprecedented hostility to the US and the British their influence in the area totally shot.
