As far as my being Albanian, thanks for the compliment but "I am just a mongrel American without a direct link to any ethnic group. Which is probably one reason I cannot understand this balkan tribalism".-said pss

-Why the hell then you make any comments regarding the issues that you know nothing about, not even understand?

If I were you I would have been ashamed to make any comments on something I know nothing about.

If you are really interested in Balkan, or just Serbia and its Kosovo province, there are many sources out there that you can use and actually learn something about the complexity of the entire issue.
And while searching, try to read as much sources as possible. Also, make an effort and try to take a non biased approach while making research.

Aks yourself one question and you will find out who is mainly to blame for the problems in the balkans today: how come Slovenians, Serbs, Croats and Bosnian muslims have managed to put their differences aside and cooperate on a very high level while there is no such exchange with Albnaians?"

(Mikael C, 31 May 2010 20:18)

Really, Mikael?

Serbs don't want this so called 'exchange' with Albanians.

We're now a sovereign country and want to move on. Serbs want the opposite.

It's that simple. Once you come to grips with reality on the ground you will have such 'exchange'.

For the Albanians life goes on with our without Serbia.

And, for the record this 'exchange' with Croats, Bosnians & Slovenes is economically motivated.

Deep down you know how they feel about you and how you feel about them.

No point in trying to kid anyone.

I see that Albanians are excusing their crimes by comparing them to what is happening in Serbia.
In Serbia like in the rest of the world there is crime and that crime gets investigated, seriously.
Crime is present in every society but crime in Kosovo is motivated by racial hatred. Now that's the difference between the crimes so you can stop trying to divert attention from Kosovo crimes by talking about crimes elewhere.

If these Albanians indeed suspect that there are criminals amongst the returnees then EULEX should investigate these accusations and not a lynch mob. Since EULEX is not paying any attention to the returnees this "criminals amongst them" is simply an excuse to hold onto Serbian land and chase off legitimate owners. More stealing, that's all.

There is everyday violence in every society. However, the attacks on Serbs in Kosovo are ethnicly motivated and you know that. But, like every other albanian you are only looking for excuses to why Serbs are targeted. Albanians are masters at finding excuses for bad behaviour. One excuse is more outrageous then the other. I have never ever heard and albanian take responsibility for anything. Then again I don't blame albanians, that's just the way you are brought up, but Europe who are turning the other way while Serbs are being harrassed and killed in a "democratic and multiethnic Kosovo". What a joke!
(Mikael C, 31 May 2010 16:02)
Reread your post and try to figure out WHY ethnic hatred exists in the balkans. When a post such as yours so grossly protrays an ethnic group then violence is of no surprise. I have little doubt that an Albanian family in your neighborhood would "feel the love".

You forgot to mention the man at the bus station with bullet in his head this morning in Serbia. And I remember the news here at B92 when a man got torn apart by a bomb which he carried by himself. No Albanian comment on that. Now just imagine that this would have happened in Kosovo and the comments from Team Serbia here. Unbelieving, we are talking about stone pelting. I made a comment about this attack yesterday but B92 failed to publish that comment. Interesting that the suspect was also behind previous attacks on Serbs.
