"Croatian President Ivo Josipović said that the return of Croats to Bosnia and Serbs to Croatia must be insisted on."

It's much too late for this.

Serbia deserves nothing from Croatia.

They lost a war in which they were the agressors. To this day, they still have not turned in their war criminals. They can keep the landlocked Serbia and RS as their own and be on par with countries like Romania.

Ivo Josipovic seems to be an understanding leader; the problem is he gets reigned in over the coals every time he makes these gestures of reconciliation. If he had absolute powers and the support of all parties (a real feat in itself) maybe they could follow the path of the Serbs in their approach to the Kosovo situation. Autonomy under guaranteed sovereignty or population transfers is the only way to deter future repeated acts of the 90's.

It will be difficult. I think that the only really successful return process has been in Drvar. People generally sell their property, or exchange it. So, where are these Croats going to return to? They don't have a place to return to. Neither do countless other groups, as most have sold or traded their properties.

This is common knowledge. So I don't get why there is talk that suggests that this is no so. I think it is for publicity, to try to take voters away from the HDZ party.

The leaders of the former republics see the errors of their predecesors, we were stronger together that they have been apart, things were better for everyone. A war of small men and small ideas, brought blood, chaos, hatred and devastation...then the west came in a bought us on the cheap. Now Croatia is owned by Germas and SLovenia by italians, Kosovo is wasteland and Serbia industrial base decimated. The old communists call themselves socialist or social democrats but the never left, crooks all of them. Cocaine and heroin and prostitution and casinos full of vile people...destroying what was beautiful of our lands. This is facism manifest if the balkans. The republics are now vassal states, shame onto us.

Serbs are not returining to Croatia and Croats are not returining to RS. This is allow pity this pity that. Both sides know that most displaced people are now settled in their new country. This should have been talked about in the mid 90s not 15 years later.

Croats in BiH deserve their own autonomous entity as much as Serbs deserve their own entity in CRO.

You are right. But I think the picture is bigger than this. The Former-Yugoslav entities will be creating an alliance, both; militarily, and social economically.

Somewhat of a reminder what we once already had. Yugoslavia.

Enough of the talk and time for action. I can see good intentions here so lets not waste time and lets get this process rolling. The sooner we get this part of our region in order the better for all involved.
