The arrogant duplicity of "Serbia" was certainly to be expected. This entire Kosovo debate is the best argument ever made for war: should we just obliterate them or kick them all out... Serbia’s total rejection of international law and their violation of Kosovo’s autonomous status have demonstrated that the Serbia is in fact dedicated to violating the law when and wherever needed to achieve their ends. Under such circumstances, debate is merely a way of buying time in what is nothing more than a polite prelude to renewed war.

Let the record show that by violating, ignoring and twisting the law, Serbia has sowed the seeds for the next war(s) in the region.

And so, the next war crimes tribunal will be waiting for them. Charge number one? Premeditated crimes against peace.

If we, the people of this world, allow the laws and national rights that we built up over millennia to be trampled in front of our eyes... then even the memory of these laws will cease to exist in the minds of our children.

Mr. Bosnitch should not have signed his comment as a journalist because he is giving his opinion, not reporting the facts upon which we may arrive at our own opinion.

There is nothing wrong with Mr. Bosnitch having an opinion or stating it, but he should not do so under the name of "journalist".

You report. We decide.

Nothing wrong with signing Journalist or Carpenter.
He is stating his profession and not claiming to be reporting on anything.
All he is doing is offering his opinion like the rest of us.
Should Roberto not sign with Roberto from Frisco as this may imply that anyone living there might have a more valid opinion?
You are welcome to put down your profession as well. It won't mean that we will take your opinion any more readily or not because of your profession.

I don't have a problem with signing any way you like as long as you are not vulgar.

Who said anything about me? I simply stated what I envision will happen to Ramush if he attempts to illegally implement control of the north. See, unlike Ramush, I do not take the law into my own hands. Big difference, bud.

Jason

pre 13 godina

I could have sworn that you have claimed that the north is such a law abiding place unlike the south??? not once but many many times.
An Albanian leader beaten in the north is ok, how would you view a Serbian leader beaten in the south?
(pss, 27 May 2010 00:01)

A few points to consider:

First, any intelligent Albanian knows what I am talking about regarding Haradinaj - that is why only a few of the usual suspects defend him here.

Second, Haradinaj is not holding office here, so were he in the north, it would be as a vigilante trying to destabilize it as he has tried before. (Examine his brother's actions in Little Bosnia.) Furthermore, recall Ramush has stated in the past that he could solve the problem in the north in a matter of months... anyone familiar with him knows what that means.

Third, this is not an endorsement of any lawlessness of the north. Far from it. I am stating that if Ramush were to try and solve the "problem" in the north, it would be ILLEGAL.I say illegal because the EU and NATO decided that no violence will be used in attempts to integrate the north - and Ramush knows no other way of doing business but violence. If the Serbs up there gave him a beating for his ILLEGAL activities then oh well. One good turn...

As for the rest of your question, PSS, the answer is the same. I could care less if a Serb criminal of Haradinaj's caliber is beaten in the south. Ideally it would be nice if both were arrested and convicted for their respective crimes - but any injuries they might incur as a result of their criminal lifestyles comes with the territory of being a criminal, no?

Get real. It was not Tadic who allowed the occupiers.

It was Milosevic and his policies.

Tadic is making the best of the bad circumstances and doing very well at it.

There's lots of noisy nationalists who have lots of venom but little in the way of effective policy. They would only succeed in further provocation if their policy was followed and make the situation worse.

This is what the nationalists could not see when Milosevic was in power - he gave the appearance of supporting Serbia, but only by making powerful enemies.

....Softly softly catchy monkey.

....Not thumping through the undergrowth.

Fortunately the nationalists are now a relatively small and ineffective voice - people are more interested in getting on with their lives and making a decent living than they are in starting another pointless war.

That said, Kosovo is still part of Serbia and history has not finished with this little issue yet.

Jason,

It's interesting that you want "others" to what you only wish you could do yourself, he-man!
Why not pay Mr. Haradinaj a visit if you're up to the task. His house is a large mansion on the highest hill in Prishtina overlooking his country that he helped liberate. Take Mikael with you so afterward he can bring you to the Emergency room.

Mikael C,

Bognanovic can enter Kosova any time he wishes as long he is not breaking the law by fomenting dissent so as to cause disorder. Kostunica, on the other hand, is not a citizen of Kosova and, therefore, must register with the proper authorities in order to get an entry visa.

Let me put it STRAIT!

Bogdanović added that the early local elections in the Serb-dominated municipality would be held regardless of provocations, and that they would serve to “confirm the credibility of the state of Serbia, strengthen her institutions and presence in the Province, and especially in its northern part”.

It is clear not about Serbia caring about "human rights" in Kosovo/a but it all about can Serbia still control Kosovo/a.

and to "clarify" the other "issue" minister raised that

"How will anyone prohibit me, born and living in Kosovo and Metohija, or any other politician from the Province, from going to our own homes,” Bogdanović said in his statement

If you minister are entering Kosovo/a as a private person and hold Kosovo/a passport I have no issue with that. But if you are comming as Serbian official then you will be treated as such. In other words mutual agreement between Kosovo/a's authorities and Serbia should take place. I hope it will make more sense now for you.

"This decision was clearly deliberately timed ahead of the (local) elections in (northern Kosovska) Mitrovica, to in this way join in Priština's provocations,” said [Bogdanovic].

-- Which effectively seems to be the reason EULEX is taking a temporarily strong stance. They know they can do little to nothing to stop Belgrade from holding elections in Kosovo and they know there is little to no chance of Pristina-backed elections to be legitimate in the north and Novo Brdo. So the only way they can show their displeasure is by limiting the mobility of Belgrade officials without prior EULEX authorization. But as was many times in the past an attempt at halting movement, these statements seem to last only for a week or so before everything goes back to normal. I seriously doubt EULEX will jeopardize its cooperation with Belgrade just to make some people in Pristina happy.

Tadic and co have no doubts on the EULEX fairness towards the Serbs, so much so that at times is very detrimental to KOsovo.

EULEX is just temporary here and soon you will have Thaci who will be even fairer than EULEX by buying tractors and building houses for Serbian monority. As things are evloving Serbs in Kosovo may have far more reason to vote for Thaci in the next election much more than Albanians.

Jason
