Europe is falling into disarray with financial aid to become very tight indeed and very soon, so if the EU cannot give something to Tadic and Co its bye bye Boris. The EU is showing its desperation – they are now committed to implement the SAA well before the end of this year and you can forget Mladic or anyone else; that’s all out the wind. So much for the anti serb critics of no SAA until all conditions fulfilled.

Why would they expect a positive report from the prosecutor? Has Serbia arrested the genocidal war criminals it was charged with arresting? NO it has not! So there can not be a positive report and if we get serious for a second even the Serbian politicians know that their bid will be seriously delayed by the current crisis that has griped the EU. Not arresting Mladic & co. will be a convenient way to put off Serbia's membership aspirations for a year or two. Europe doesn't want any new members in the near future, even Croatia joining in 2012 is in doubt, and a complicated and problematic state like Serbia will not be welcomed for at least a decade if not more. Serbia might think that the EU is desperate to let the enter, warts and all, but it's not and Serbia will have to make some hard choices if it truly wants to become an EU member anytime soon.
