If relations are excellent between Serbia and Greece why did Serbia recognise FYROM as Republic of Macedonia? FYROM in turn went and recognised Kosovo,Greece didn't.The Serbs should take away recognition from ROM back to FYROM.We all know that TITO invented them as Macedonians. They are a Slavic people who speak a Bulgarian dialect.Serbia won those lands (FYROM) in the 1912-1913 Balkan wars.

No argument from me. Totally agree with you, but the only way this is going to happen is if Greece puts pressure on Serbia to do just that.
Maybe Greeks can lobby the government and perhaps even join a Serbia lobby group with same idea about it.

The current Serbian government is not the best it can be. It has to be pushed.

Droutsas added that in order to reach that goal, “respecting the principles of good neighborly relations is a very important condition.”

This Is the most interesting piece in the article.

As far as Kosovo is concerned, he said that Greece cares most about the complete respecting of human rights in the province.

As soft as shot bullets and thrown stones, maybe? So much about the respect for "human rights" in the multi-ethnic dream state of Kosovo.

genc the human rights argument is also a vaid one.

Compare the Albanian minority in Serbian proper compared with the Serb minority in Kosovo.

That is also a vaid argument to use with regard to Kosovo status.

"Jeremić thanked Athens for offering Belgrade help in its “European perspective and fight for maintaining the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo"

I don't think the minister is talking any longer rationally. All his interlocutors seem to be tired of his infantile statements. The Greek minister didn't seem to care less about his statment...all he is concerned are "human rights in Kosovo/a"...

I am preatty sure he has told him in pritate "listen Jeremic, we can't help you I am afraid. Most of the EU countries have recognised Kosovo/a independence and to be sincerely we are in the brink of collapse.." "With pain brother, with pain..."

Well Leonidas, as far as I'm concerned, Greece refers internationally to Kosovo in a rather balanced way, i.e. neither as a state nor as a province, usually as 'Kosovo'. Being the source of the news Tanjug, here you have the source of "province". Or it may have been agreed, for the sake of the rest.

Seriously speaking, statements form Slovakia or Romania are usually much more hard-worded than the present blunt statement, as cited on B92 by source Tanjug.

Stressing "human rights" and omitting such concepts as "territorial integrity", so beloved and abundant in mr. Jeremic's speeches is the most important message. Hope you agree.

"As far as Kosovo is concerned, he said that Greece cares MOST about the complete respecting of human rights in the PROVINCE"

The main word in this statement is PROVINCE.
This what Kosovo is in the eyes of Greek politicians for the forseeable future.

Did somebody mention on that meeting that Serbia recognized the "Republik of Macedonia"? No? Or we just waiting for "egalité" when Greece recognizes Kosovo, so that the "excellent bilateral relationship" has been brought into the equilibrium?

"As far as Kosovo is concerned, he said that Greece cares MOST about the complete respecting of human rights in the province".

Not about territorial integrity and stuff like that?
