Gay pride in 2009 in Belgrade was projected to have 500 participants. That's hardly a "massive carnival"

We're talking about the right of a minority to walk down the street and have a march, as any group who wishes to make public their concerns should be able to do in any society.

That's what we're talking about here. It has nothing to do with Albanians.

There is a big difference between holding your wife's/girlfriend's hand or giving her a kiss in public and organizing a massive carnival to celebrate your sexuality. Your comparison is frankly ridiculous.

And is being liberal and tolerant towards homosexuals something progressive only because the West does so?

Don't put all your eggs in one basket, the West is showing its horns towards islamization of Europe and right wing/nationalist parties are becoming much more popular in Western Europe, so if things change over the next few decades, will you be the great populist and jump onto that bandwagon too? Or will you continue to maintain such views because you genuinely think and believe so?

Then again, Albanians have a great talent for internalising anything whatever the "superpower de jure" says, so perhaps it is not my place to speak as someone who maintains age-old morals and values that my people have set before me.

Jerzy Buzek I think Ataman and Joe will find this name very interesting espescially when it is related to fight against homophobia.

I love/hate hearing the primitive arguments against gayness coming from Serbia. Serbia is behind the western world by 30 years in most respects and this is no exception.

Lazar, if EVERYONE were anything, the world would fall apart. If everyone were accountants, no bridges would be built and no ambulances driven.

Fact is, everyone isn't gay. 50 years ago, left-handedness was discouraged. Do we have fewer left-handed people today?

As for "do you celebrate your straigtness". Well, do you ever hold your girlfriend's hand in public? ever peck her on the cheek? Walk down the street with her? Well, shame on you if you do. You should "keep your sexuality private"

The best solution for this is for the gays to not celebrate their gayness in public. Do I celebrate my straightness in public? No. It only irritates people needlessly. Let them parade in their own house, but not on the streets. We do not want our kids to be poisoned into thinking that it is good to be gay. It is bad. One of the purposes of life should be to have offspring - gays can not do this. They are degenerate if we look at it like that. Using kant's logic - what if everyone was gay - there would be no tomorrow.
