Lazar get some humour, I am only sparring with you!

The world knows that sport as football, you said soccer, thats what it has to do with it. Hell, even in Serbian its fudbal, a sakr ne postoj!

Come now, I know very well which club is better known around the world. I am not an armchair fan. I didn't find the stat on Zvezda winning the European Cup on Wiki - I travelled from Belgrade to Bari. We didn't care that it was a boring game, just biting our fingers for 90 minutes + extra time then penalties, people from all over former Jugoslavija.

Your players are playing in the kit selected by Franjo Tudjman. Live with it :)

Now its true that Partizan are a far bigger side in basketball than Zvezda in history and today. It is also true that Partizan is a more succesful side in football today. However, it is also true that there are only 2 football teams in the Serbian league these days - you can see that by the attendances.

In any case I always wish Partizan well in Europe and hope they qualify for the champions league.

And you Lazar have to learn to not take football banter too seriously.

bganon, I do not see what American football has to do with this. I also fail to see the relevance of stadium size. Partizan is just as well known as Crvena Zvezda in Europe. I simply responded to your comment about the champions cup - you seem to be unhappy about my comment there? You are bringing up a silly comment about the champions cup. You have no worthwhile response to my statement that no Eastern European club has any chance to get it nowadays. I also fail to see what a former president of partizan has to do with anything. The organization was and still is called JUGOSLOVENSKO Sportsko Drustvo... so what is the problem there? It is no secret that Croats dominated behind the scenes in belgrade during tito's dictatorship. But what Zvezda fans fail to realize is that their club would not have much of its success if it did not have those croatian players - yet they smear in our faces how they are the best serbian team. They simply are not. The club sucks compared to Partizan, since the former yugo broke up, in pretty much every aspect.

Lazar never forget that we are talking about football here - a world sport, if the US stole the name for its own sport can't complain when the world continues to use football to describe... football!

Secondly ask an average football fan who knows something about European or world football and they know about Red Star Belgrade. Look at the stadiums. Its obvious which is the bigger club.

Finally Croatian players? How unfortunate that you mention Croats. You do realise that the biggest Croatian nationalist of them all, Franjo Tudjman was president of your club and chose your club colours.

Ohh, I can feel that pain!

bganon, no eastern european club will win the champions league. There simply is not the money to buy the best of the best players. Zvezda may have won it once, but that does not mean that it is a better club overall, or that the sports society is better. Partizan is the one that has more success when we add all sports together. In soccer alone Partizan has won the national league like two times more than zvezda since 1991. I guess zvezda could not be as dominant without their croatian players eh? hehe.

Yes, but Partizan will never win the European (Champions) Cup.

When Zvezda dominated football in the region, football was still high quality. What we have now is only a shadow of that.

But Partizan basketball side is something else - they are of the highest standard!

Well Done FK Partizan and unlucky Red Star Belgrade. Does FK Partizan have to go through the qualification stages first of the Champions League? In the English Premier League, the top three teams go straight through to the Champions League, whereas forth place has to go through qualifications. Forth place this year went to Tottenham Hotspur and I live with two Spurs fans, so I look forwards to seeing them play some European matches on TV. I would like to see Spurs meet FK Partizan in the Champions League, that'd be a great match to watch.

Third title in a row, nice! JSD Partizan is the best sports society in Serbia. Add this to their other championships this year like in Basketball and in Hockey. :)
